Any advice please?

Hey Mamas 👋

Looking for some advice, My little one has just turned 9 months old (he was born 4 weeks early so corrected age 8 months - Just for context), he is only tolerating puree or mashed food - when I introduce him to lumpier texture he gags and then vomits (also his milk that he has has an hour before any food) He has food through those dummy things (cut up fruit etc). I have mentioned it to my GP and he wasn’t concerned.

He also plays with finger food and rarely eats it.

Has anyone been through this should I wait and see (like dr advises as milk is still there main source of “food”)?

Thanks in advance 💖

Hey!
At this age I would be too worried!
It can take abit for them to get used to the lumpier stuff!
I think my sister fed her LO pouches and purees until 14 months! But he eats everything now!
My LO will sometimes eat the same as his sisters (2&3) like burgers, chips, toast, but sometimes refuses and gags! Ive currently got him having the 10+ months food, so they have afew lumps but not many, and will slowly increase the textured ones! X

Heyyy

Some babies don't even eat anything till 1 year + so what your baby is eating right now is very good. Milk is still their main form of nutrients at this age. Weaning is just so baby can try different flavours and textures and if one isn't working try again few weeks time is what I would say.

My son is 9 months and he will only eat puree food and mashed fruit

Hope this helps from a health visitor

Curious if there's any difference with this. Has your child/ you (if your child isn't school age yet) experienced bullying?

I know it's likely everywhere but I can't homeschool with my career and nervous about my daughter starting school.

Help

I just wondered if anyone else is feeling the same way- I love my baby sooo so much and feel guilty writing this but I just don’t know if I love every part, I get sad when I’m alone and almost dread taking care of him myself even though he’s pretty easy going! I constantly plan things and never really have time at home with him alone. I feel selfish and just constantly wanting to be with adults.
I had a really busy job and I’m missing having the working life but also I know when I start to go back to work I’ll feel guilty and sad this part is over. I’m also suffering with PPA and trying to get help (having to wait a full month to talk to someone).
I also worry I haven’t bonded with him, like what does that even look like? I never breastfed which also makes me feel guilty.
I’m just having a hard time feeling happy in this stage I guess. It’s so confusing!!!

How are we entertaining our 5 month olds?

My little one can crawl and roll but not sit yet and entertaining him is getting quite difficult. I’m struggling to also go to get something without him rolling half way across the room and banging his head. I’m struggling to entertain him as he’ll no longer lie and bat toys but he’s not at the point of playing with the next stage up toy. Along with my 2.5 year old jumping off sofas I’m knackered just stopping them both from hurting themselves and wondering what toys are entertaining your 5 month olds?
