I opted for a C-section as a first time Mum for non medical reasons because our first son was measuring large and it was stressing me out. Therefore, it was far better to not have to worry when I was going into labour, worry about him getting stuck and then having the stress of that and an emergency C-section on top of that. I got to know when he was going to be born, I could relax that day even while waiting to go down, everything was amazing and explained perfectly. With this baby due I am opting for a VBAC only because I have a toddler and don't want to be away from him too long, even though he will be with my husband (his Dad). However, if I need a C-section again I will be perfectly okay with that

I had an elective C-section because of my baby being breech. But I wanted one any way. I feel like 90% of my close friends ended up with emergency C-section after traumatic labour and induction. But never heard any bad stories from elective C-section. Just feels safer

I almost had an elective with my first but ended up changing my mind, for me i was more scared of an emergency c section than a planned one
