Long post

I’m a FTM to a 2.5yo. We are starting to consider trying for a second baby.
I’m not a young mum (in the sense of having had my child really young), I’m in my early 30s. I was/am very happy with the age I conceived/became a mum.
I can’t help but feel a bit sad that my friends - 2 years on - still aren’t considering having children. They are in long-term relationships and/or are married. I wouldn’t express this to them, nor would I put any pressure on them. I appreciate everyone’s journey is different.
I just feel a bit gutted that my child may be a lot older before they have theirs. Appreciate we will meet more friends as we go along particularly when starting school.
My friends are living abroad, having girls’ holidays etc and as above I just feel a bit sad. Also appreciate that perhaps in future, while they are navigating what I’ve been navigating now as a FTM, we likely will be getting back out exploring the world etc (hopefully you know what I mean)…
Any words of wisdom?
Anyone else had their child be the only child in the family and friendship group, thus being the oldest by several years?

This.
My brother is autistic & can’t form basic relationships never mind romantic ones so I’m never going to have biological nieces/ nephews. My partners siblings are 17 & 19 and arnt going to be popping baby out any time soon. One friend has a 10 & 8 year old and is done. In the last two years she’s actually been the person to show up for me more than everyone else. Which I was not predicting.

Then in the last 2 years, my closest friend & her partner have decided not to have kids (just not interested and her husbands sees the births that go wrong in his job)didn’t surprise me to much when they said tho. They did get a dog & downsize into a flat after deciding. Then literally like 3 months ago my other friend said her partner wants kids now but she doesn’t, at least not any time in the next few years. She’s just happy with how her life is right now and the freedom ( and money )she has.

Im sat in a corner all by myself 😭 it’s not that deep but it’s alittle sad to think about.
