Car seat? Help!

Hiya, I’ve slowly started buying things for baby (finally- due Oct 9). We got our pram second hand and know we need to get a new car seat. Does anyone have a recommendations? I don’t know where to start. I think I want one with an isofix base so can turn baby either way and I’ve heard they’re easier to deal with.

With my first baby I had the maxi cosi cabriofix which I really liked but did wish I’d got a spin one. This time we’ve got the cybex cloud and I love it! X

I got my pram second hand too from my sister was an icandy peach but 8 years old! We went with the maxi cosi pebble 360! X

I had the cybex cloud I size with rotating base but tbh there are soooo many good infant ones on the market now, if you have a pram where the car seat can go onto it with adapters definitely get one that can,...life changing for quickly popping out xx

Join Car Seat Safety UK (or similar group) on Facebook for further advice. Some seats are renowned for putting babies in unsafe positions (chin to chest) which can restrict their breathing.

Gone for the Cybex Cloud I size also it looks beautiful as well not like that should sway you 😂 it's also super light x

Iso fix is definitely handy especially for getting in and out with ease :)

Should I be as concerned as I am?

My daughter has her 1 yr doctor's appointment on the 11th and I wanna ask her pediatrician about it but she's entering the toddler stage so I'm not sure if it's normal. But we've caught her bitting her hands and arms when she's upset. She also pinches others including herself. Is this normal behavior for a toddler? Two of my brothers have autism and this was a huge sign for them as they reached elementary school so I'm not sure if it's the same thing. Eventually I also want to get her tested for ADHD (my brothers also have this and so does her dad - no longer in the picture btw) her father also has schizophrenia which I didn't find out until recently. What is the appropriate age to get her tested? I'm a ftm so idk what to do or think. On top of this I want to get her legs checked out because of the way they are when she's walking. Will they straighten out on their own? Is this normal for babies? Is this something worth asking her pediatrician about? Hi mums could anyone possibly help with some baby bits until I'm back on my feet? Im in a hostel and don't have much at all please and thank you im in the north of England 💪🏼🤍

HV due when I need to put toddler to bed.

Shall I leave a note on the door? Try and hold toddlers nap out? The HV appointment is for my new baby due in 2 months and not my toddler.

I am having the home appointment alone as my partner is working away.

Pram recommendations?

I’m starting to look at travel systems and really love the Silver Cross ones, but they’re so expensive. I’m happy to invest in a good pram if it’s worth it, but I’ve seen a lot of people say they can be quite heavy and that they ended up switching to a cheaper lightweight buggy later on.

Can anyone recommend a pram that’s great from newborn onwards? Thank you in advance ☺️

My son won’t walk with me.

He is 2.5 years and I have to carry him everywhere to get anywhere since he doesn’t listen. If I put him on the ground and hold his hand he will either squirm out of it and run or throw himself on the ground and go limp. He doesn’t come or stay close when I call. He immediately bolts and expects me to follow him. I don’t believe in hitting or yelling. I do stern talk for danger and tried giving him one of two options. None of the other kids his age are this way. They listen to their parents and stay close. What do I do?

Breastfeeding toddler

I'm still breastfeeding my son who will be two in a few months.

It still feels completely natural and is mainly a way that he settles himself but I am thinking of gently weaning at some point soon.

I am more aware of other people's opinions about it now he's a bit older, despite this being completely normal in a lot of places and the World Health Organization still recommending brrastfeeding up to two years of age or beyond.
