Dr said I shouldn’t be in pain

7 weeks since c section and I got lower belly tenderness and when I press it or it gets knocked it’s painful. The GP said I shouldn’t be in pain, surely I should still have some pain as it’s major surgery?

It’s under my belly button, it’s bloated and really tender pressing on it. I don’t have any numbness. Did anyone else have this?

Yes I was still tender for a little while, numb directly above the scar and then tender above that and above my belly button. All normal and part of healing, the numbness can take 2 years to start returning to normal too and I think the tenderness went away after a couple of months for me x

7 weeks is nothing! Like you said it’s major surgery. You’ll still be healing so it’s completely normal. I’m 5 months pp and I still have tenderness and parts are still abit numb xxx

I am almost 15 months pp and the skin all around my scar is still tender.

I have no numbness this time around but it’s so so tender 😢

It took me almost 3 months to feel better! 7 weeks is still so early❤️‍🩹

Miscarriage

Pregnancy 1: missed miscarriage at 9 weeks
Pregnancy 2: healthy full term baby
Pregnancy 3: blighted ovum found out at 8 week scan
Now pregnant again and terrified of having another miscarriage. Anyone have a blighted ovum and then went on to have a healthy baby?

Different last names?

What's your experience with your child having your partner's last name and you're not married?

In my head I feel like I'll need to bring her birth certificate everywhere with me just in case...

Edit: can we stop being judgemental please? Not everything is black and white. I asked for people's experiences not opinions.

Rolling

My 4 month old isn’t rolling over yet. I’m not worried about it as I know it’ll happen when he’s ready but the past day when he lays down he tries to move/shuffle himself up towards the nearest thing to his head and twists his head loads while getting frustrated/ crying. Is this him trying to roll him self over or a sign of something else? Would love some advice if anyone has had similar :)

1st Birthday

Don’t even want to think of it yet but what’s everyone doing for there little ones 1st birthday. Really unsure what to do! My son was born Halloween so will more than likely always have to be Halloween themed but unsure to have a party somewhere or just a tea party in the house.

I’m having a mare

I’m 38 weeks pregnant today, last night I had heavy bleeding and was told to come into triage, my partner drove me in my car and it broke down about 2 mins into the journey (it’s never had any problems in 2 years), I ended up having to phone an ambulance and we left the car. My mom came to stay with my toddler and she’s just messaged me to say she can’t find the cat anywhere, she’s an indoor cat and has never been outside but my mom has been hanging out washing in the garden bless her and the cat must have slipped out. I know they say it comes in 3s but does it really need to be now 😩 I’m a nervous wreck.

Midwife appointment

Has anyone else found their 24/25 week midwife appointment pointless? Apart from getting my MAT1B form I didn’t see the point in it really. Just asked about my well being and that was it - was that normal?
