I’m 38 + 2 and due to family matters I’m so worrying to get past my due date and being alone with no help. I have currently a 2.5 years old and my husband lost his dad a few days ago. His mom, which supposed to look after our daughter, lives 3 hours drive and now she’s going through mental health problems, my family is abroad and they can’t be here unfortunately. Anyone else in my same position? I’m not sure yet when the funeral it’s gonna be etc so I’m just stressing out a lot to be on my own when it happens, I think the best solution would be if they would give me an induction date? I’m so afraid I don’t know what to do 😞😭🥹🙏🏼

Do you have any friends, brothers/sisters or close neighbours who can have your child while you give birth? If not, have a look around for last minute/emergency Nannie’s or carers. My sisters work in that sector and put their profiles on sites, a lot of people are super happy to do last minute work🩷as for the funeral and stuff, I’m pretty sure that’s like 2 weeks after the loss, which will likely clash with 40 weeks when you’re due. Which is super super difficult. Maybe discuss with him and his family if there’s any way they can delay the funeral until you’ve had baby so that your partner isn’t torn on what situation to attend? That’s all I can think of. Being induced carry’s risks & you don’t want to be having it just because you feel it’s the last option, you still need to do what’s best for you.

Ive opted for my 2nd home birth as we havent got friends or family in our new place we live in so we have had to accept that if the our 2 toddlers need their dad ill be birthing with the midwives alone and also if i had to go hospital ill be going alone, its very strange,
I could only suggest talking to your husband and both of you coming to an arrangement as i am sure everyone wants a safe arrival xx
