Please be honest. How many of u have physically disciplined ur child even if it was just once or even if it was small?

I don’t agree with physical discipline but I just wanna know how many of us have used it in the past. I have and I’m correcting that behavior.

To the perfect parents who never lose their cool congrats but please don’t comment ur criticism. This post is not for u.

I have pushed my child off me out of instinct/initial reaction before after he’s jumped on me or rammed into me, but I’ve never once intentionally used physical violence towards him with the hopes it would teach him anything.

This isnt judgement here, just my personal explanation:
I don’t personally see utilizing corporal or physical punishment as a form of discipline.
I personally view discipline as a noun, not a verb.
I seek to prioritize teaching self discipline over complete compliance.

No one is a perfect parent. I have lost my cool many times and yelled at my kids. But I think if you are losing your cool and physically harming your kids, you need to immediately get some help and learn better ways to regulate. Because this could get dangerous really quickly.

We are all striving to do our best. As parents we ARE going to fuck some things up. Its inevitable. But we should apologize and actively work on not doing the thing again.

No parent is perfect and everyone loses their cool. Some parents just do so differently or handle it in different ways.

I’ve never laid a hand on my baby… when I lose my cool, I’m more likely to snap or raise my voice. I’m working on it all the time and really striving to break the cycle, which is what we all should be doing. Whether it’s yelling or being physical… we can do better.

Breastfeeding in public! How to do it?

Hi everyone! I’m looking for some advice on breastfeeding in public. At the moment, I can only comfortably breastfeed my baby at home using two pillows — one to support his body and another to support his head. He also doesn’t really like the cradle hold, and I’ve tried the koala position but it hasn’t worked for us so far.

I’d really like to be able to breastfeed when we’re out, but I’m struggling to find a position that works without all the pillow support. Has anyone been in a similar situation or found a position that worked well for their baby? I’d really appreciate any tips! ❤️

Is she too small?

My baby (4.5m) is simply too long for her carry cot but I’m worried she’s too small for this setting? It’s fully reclined and she does seem to be fine but must want another opinion!

Circumcision after care

We circumcised our almost 2 week old boy for hygiene reasons yesterday. (Don’t come at me- his dad, my brothers are all circumcised and it’s not for religious reasons).
The surgical team recommended using Sudocreme over the widely-used Vaseline. Three mothers in my circle only used Vaseline. I am worried for the sudocreme, any one used this in the past?
Additionally, washing his privates with water at every nappy change seems too much. Anyone washed your boy after every two nappy changes, what are your experiences?

Dummy help please

Has anyone got any advice on dummies?

My little one will be 3 weeks old on Monday and I’m breastfeeding with the odd bottle to give me a bit of rest! He spends a lot of time on the boob for comfort, so I’m thinking a dummy might help.

However, he just won’t take one! He either spits it straight out or seems to gag on it. I’ve tried the smallest MAM ones, but they honestly look huge for his tiny mouth!

Does anyone have any recommendations for dummies that worked well for their breastfed baby? And how did you introduce it? Did they take to it straight away or did it take a few tries?

Would really appreciate any tips or brand recommendations! 🫶🏻
