Birth Reflection

I have a birth reflection appointment scheduled for tomorrow, and I was just wondering what kind of questions can I ask them?
I had a lengthy and complicated birth, I was induced which ultimately led to an emergency c-section. However, I had been told at 11:30pm on the Tuesday night that I needed a c-section, but was left until 5:30am on the Wednesday, when my consultant wanted to suggest me continuing with a vaginal birth, however my blood test was beginning to show signs of sepsis, so the decision was made to take me to theatre.
I have been suffering with a lot of trauma around my birth, and my recovery, and I have lots of questions to ask them, but I was just hoping to hear from someone who maybe was in a similar situation to me, or has experience of a birth reflection and can let me know what to expect.
Thank you!

Hello! I was also induced across a week and then still ended up with an emergency c-section. My section was delayed until the next morning despite my baby showing signs of distress and me showing signs of sepsis. I had a birth reflection as I really struggled after he was born and felt really unhappy with how my birth went. The meeting mostly just talked through my birth timeline and what happened when - so I recommend having a notepad and pen (or laptop) handy. I’ll be honest and say it didn’t help me massively, as I discovered more errors or issues I wasn’t aware of at the time 🙃 but I did come away with more understanding of things and that eventually helped my negative and repetitive thoughts settle. I hope it goes okay for you! Definitely have someone you can chat to afterwards just in case it brings back any sad or difficult memories x

Do we think this name is a bit too common?

When I was pregnant with my son, Margot was up there as one of the girls names we both liked but I can’t work out if it’s too popular/obvious. (We live in SW London for reference)

Coil fitted during planned section

Has anyone had experience of having a coil put in during a planned c section? Any pros or cons I should know about? I've never had a coil before

Early gender scan

I got a early gender scan at 16 weeks and was told it was a girl. I’m just nervous that at my 20 week scan they will tell me it’s a boy. Has this happened to anyone else before.

Has anyone actually had a positive induction?! Ive never heard of 1!

Please tell me if you have experienced a positive induction, what week you were when induced and why you were induced. Ive not heard a single good story
My induction would only be due to being too far overdue.

Chosen hospital

I was told at my first midwife appointment that I can choose what hospital I would like to have my baby at explaining I wanted Broomfield. Now at 29 weeks I’ve asked about having my baby at Broomfield hospital in Chelmsford where I had my first. But have been declined and will have to have my baby at Colchester where I live. The childcare we have for my first for when I give birth is in Chelmsford and we need to drop him off. I really do not want to have my baby at Colchester and I’m at a loose end of where to find help on what to do. I’ve had a different midwife at all of my appointments so far and just feel as though I’m not getting the support and help that I need. If anyone knows of what to do or where to ask for help that would be much appreciated, it’s causing me lots of anxiety & stress 😣
