False starts

Anyone dealt with false starts? How long did it last for you? My baby is STILL having them, she’s 13 months and has done since about 5 months. Pretty much every single night since then 😭😭😭 I’m so done with it now I thought she’d have stopped by this age 😩

They’re not tired enough, or you’re assisting to sleep… we
Had this pre 5m before sleep training. Once we learnt about 24 hour sleep needs and chucked generic awake windows in the bin and she went to sleep independently we’ve never ever had another awful night - she’s 2.5 now x

How much sleep is she getting in the day? How many hours awake before bed. Normally means that its either too much day sleep or not enough wake time before bed.

At 13 months my son was on 2 naps, 30 to 40 mins 4 hours after waking up and then another 30 to 40 nap 3 hours after waking up.

Wake up was around 7am, first nap was 10/10.30am then second nap was around 2pm.

Wake window before bed was 4 to 5 hours.

Might be worth working out how much wake time she needs before bed.

We had to really focus on daytime naps when we had false starts. Like no naps on the move, all contact naps. It seemed to fix it within about a week. Agree that usually with false starts especially there is hope and a fix somewhere in routine! X

Do we think this name is a bit too common?

When I was pregnant with my son, Margot was up there as one of the girls names we both liked but I can’t work out if it’s too popular/obvious. (We live in SW London for reference)

Coil fitted during planned section

Has anyone had experience of having a coil put in during a planned c section? Any pros or cons I should know about? I've never had a coil before

Early gender scan

I got a early gender scan at 16 weeks and was told it was a girl. I’m just nervous that at my 20 week scan they will tell me it’s a boy. Has this happened to anyone else before.

Has anyone actually had a positive induction?! Ive never heard of 1!

Please tell me if you have experienced a positive induction, what week you were when induced and why you were induced. Ive not heard a single good story
My induction would only be due to being too far overdue.

Chosen hospital

I was told at my first midwife appointment that I can choose what hospital I would like to have my baby at explaining I wanted Broomfield. Now at 29 weeks I’ve asked about having my baby at Broomfield hospital in Chelmsford where I had my first. But have been declined and will have to have my baby at Colchester where I live. The childcare we have for my first for when I give birth is in Chelmsford and we need to drop him off. I really do not want to have my baby at Colchester and I’m at a loose end of where to find help on what to do. I’ve had a different midwife at all of my appointments so far and just feel as though I’m not getting the support and help that I need. If anyone knows of what to do or where to ask for help that would be much appreciated, it’s causing me lots of anxiety & stress 😣
