Induction

Idk if this is your first or you’ve been induced before but getting induced with my son is the single biggest regret of my life. He wasn’t ready so his body started failing, I had to lie on the operating table unable to move having had an emergency section, and watch my blue little baby get cpr on a table across the room. I didn’t even get to see his face for 5 hours after he was born.
I’m a big advocate against inductions unless they are the last resort, my impatience almost cost my son his life x

preach that!! I had a similar experience and my baby ended up in NICU for 5 days with sepsis after swallowing her own poo due to stress and now lives with respiratory issues. Wouldn’t recommend it to anybody x

Not sure if there’s more context or reasoning behind you wanting to be induced. But I can honestly say that inducing labour before your body is ready is NOT worth it. It often ends up making labour take much longer, be much more painful, and usually leads to a “cascade of intervention” increasing your likelihood of needing an emergency C section. I know the waiting is hard, but if there’s no medical reason to induce, the best thing to do is wait OR discuss the possibility of an elective C section instead.
