Low lying placenta & flying

I recently had my 20 week scan and the sonography told me my placenta was close to my birth canal. He didn’t seem concerned at all, just a rescan at 32 weeks and that worst case scenario would be a c-section.

I was given no advice about what can/can’t be done, but I have a two holiday booked in the next 6-7 weeks (no more than 3hour flights). I haven’t yet spoken to the midwives as the sonograoher didn’t make a big deal out of it, but googled and there’s mixed messages about flying. I wondered if anyone had a similar experience, or had any advice around flying?

I am in the exact same position and ditto everything you said. Planning to travel to Greece for a week end of August and had my 20wk scan 2 weeks ago with a similar outcome, anterior low placenta.

Haven't checked with midwives yet but maybe I should.....(haven't googled much yet because that can tend to be a slippery slope....) 🙈

I have an anterior low pressure placenta but they think it will move up by the 32 week scan. Do you know the measurements of what you need to move? Doesn’t it need to be 20mm away or something?

I am the same, think they said 2mm away. The only advice I got was no strenuous exercise like aerobics and to call immediately if any bleeding but they said 9/10 times it will move before 32 weeks

I’m a Mama!

Title secured!!! My little one is here- she arrived on Aug 1 at 9:07pm at 37 weeks 3 days after a failed induction and eventual caesarean to her proud papa and even prouder mama! I’ve gained a new label and I couldn’t be happier. We’ve been in the newborn trenches for almost 2 weeks now and I feel much confident now than when I initially brought her home! We’ve got this and so do all the FTMs.

NIPT gender screening

Hi all! I had the NIPT gender blood test when I was 9 weeks pregnant (now 14w4d). I was told it’s 99% accurate. Just wondering if anyone else has had this?

Should I be panicking yet?!

So I had my LO on June 7th and ummm I still haven’t gotten my period back. My fiancé and I have been intimate (I don’t use birth control due to hormonal migraines and condoms cause me a lot of pain. We do the good ole pull out which we are aware isn’t very effective. For background info we struggled quite a bit to get our LO, so consider us unlucky or lucky depending how you view it) of course my mother has been hounding me if I’m sure I’m not pregnant again (rude🙄). And I’m asking should I be panicking? I find like I should probably just take a test to ease my mind; I do want another baby just not right now. I guess I’m asking has anyone else had the periods return yet?? (And no I didn’t breastfeed)

Gaining a lot of weight In first trimester

I’m 9 and a bit weeks but I’ve noticed I have gained a lot of weight recently since conceiving. Mainly due to the nausea and sickness I feel like I need to keep eating to feel better. And also I eat mainly carbs whereas my previous diet was always as little carbs as possible as I have pcos and don’t process them very well . I’ve gained 8kgs and I’m really worried and shocked. My midwife didn’t think much of it but I don’t know if this is okay and how I can manage it better. I’ve just been trying to survive, it’s been really tough. Anyone else been through anything similar ?
