Do people still go to birthday parties for kids in class?

My oldest is about to have his 4th birthday party and he has exactly 0 rsvp from kids at school. We sent 24 invitations and not a single response. When I talked to other parents in the class they said they don’t really get rsvps from the other parents they just show up or don’t but never communicate. Idk if this is a cultural thing/age thing/language thing or what. I even put the invite in English and Spanish. I know we have other kids from church and family coming but I still feel sad he will have no friends at school at his party

My guess would be it’s an age thing and also some parents tend to leave it until the day of to see if they are going to go or not depending on how they are feelings.

You did your part! He will have other friends there from church and family. I’m sure he’d enjoy himself ❤️

I have two school age kids, going into 3rd and 7th, and I will say in our experience, we always get RSVPs like week before and even a few days prior and I'm the type to send them out at least 4 weeks in advance. Also, we will only get maybe like 2-3 RSVPs, if that, but more end up showing. I'm not sure what it is either, I always RSVP. So, I just make sure I do a head count for the amount of kids we actually invited. It's annoying, because if only 10 kids show up, and we have enough for 25 say..it's kind of a waste of money. I keep it pretty simple now because of this. I get it though, I get sad for my kids too when I think not enough will show!! But it always turns out better than we hoped 😊 💕

Baby boy born 🩵

Hey ladies , I’ve had nearly 2 weeks of my boy now and I’ve realised I’ve not checked in on here at all . My boy was born 30th July at 3.44 weighing 6 pound 4 ! He was born 37+3 .

He had a tough start and came out extremely bruised , the doctors said they have never seen anything like it 🙈 but he’s all okay now and very content .

Thank you everyone for all your help and advice over the last 9 months .

I’m curious, what’s the WORST part about having a C-Section?

I’ve got 2 kids and never experienced a C-Section, so I’m generally curious and haven’t seen any posts about what the worst part is? I know lots of people will say the aftermath - leaving the hospital (not being able to move, dealing with incision pain, achy body etc) & thereafter but I’m more specifically asking about the hours before, during surgery and the hours after the C-Section and not necessarily the PP part of it. Would love to hear about it 🤍

Planned/ elective/ emergency C section recovery opinions?

Due a planned c section soon due to a severe tear in my last birth with lasting damage to my pelvic muscles.

How was your recovery? Really worried about coping with a toddler.

40+6 and still pregnant

This is my first baby, I am currently 40+6 and its really starting to get to me and just cant stay positive anymore.

I was really hoping for natural labour but I am starting to loose hope it will actually happen, and have been crying a lot for the past 2 days, as I just feel so defeated. She’s also measuring on 90th percentile and every extra day she’s there I worry that once it comes to it will be too much to handle, and my end up in emergency c-section.

I’ve got induction booked for Sunday (I’ll be 41+3) and part of me is relieved there is finally end date for this pregnancy, and part of me still wishes that the little one decides to surprise me by then, and even asking myself if I should give her even more time?

I guess this just a rant, as just needed to get it out there, and hopefully some can relate?

Silicone scar tape

What is the best silicone scar tape post C-section once the incision is fully closed. I was looking at the frida ones and they look a bit expensive and I was wondering if these are the best and I should just bite the bullet or if you guys would recommend any other really good ones that worked for you?
