This is my first baby, I am currently 40+6 and its really starting to get to me and just cant stay positive anymore.
I was really hoping for natural labour but I am starting to loose hope it will actually happen, and have been crying a lot for the past 2 days, as I just feel so defeated. She’s also measuring on 90th percentile and every extra day she’s there I worry that once it comes to it will be too much to handle, and my end up in emergency c-section.
I’ve got induction booked for Sunday (I’ll be 41+3) and part of me is relieved there is finally end date for this pregnancy, and part of me still wishes that the little one decides to surprise me by then, and even asking myself if I should give her even more time?
I guess this just a rant, as just needed to get it out there, and hopefully some can relate?

I know this isn't the response you were expecting but if it's any consolation, I'm 40 weeks now, been having contractions on and off for a week but haven't led to anything, all my pre labour symptoms have stopped, sweep that led to nothing, cervix isn't close to being ready (1cm, firm and high) and I'm so tired of the hope.
I want a natural labor too but I can barely move, do chores or go out for long periods of time so I'm stuck indoors watching TV and scrolling on my phone. I'm actually losing my mind. I am struggling to stay positive too.
I have an appointment this afternoon with a midwife for a sweep and if I haven't progressed I'll be booking an induction for Monday. I also hope I go into labour by the too but so torn between letting it happen or trying to suck it up and wait a little longer. I feel weak and disappointed in myself for wanting to give in

Days are looooong at the end and it’s so infuriating when you see other complaining when they are weeks earlier 😅 - I get it, I’ve been there. My babies were 41+4 and 41+6.
Right now I’d only looooove to not be as long this time but it’s such a short period of time looking back and try give baby the best chance of coming on their own 🤞🏽
I’ve booked my own induction in for 42 weeks, hoping it doesn’t come to that.
Hang in there!! X
