I’ve got 2 kids and never experienced a C-Section, so I’m generally curious and haven’t seen any posts about what the worst part is? I know lots of people will say the aftermath - leaving the hospital (not being able to move, dealing with incision pain, achy body etc) & thereafter but I’m more specifically asking about the hours before, during surgery and the hours after the C-Section and not necessarily the PP part of it. Would love to hear about it 🤍

I’ve ticked the anxiety as that was relevant for me. However, I’d suggest it depends on whether the section was planned (mine was) or emergency- and what level emergency it was. My planned C was amazing however I’ve known friends have emergency sections and had large amounts of pain or trauma post birth x

I had a planned c section and I had a really good experience. I know its weird but personally I fucking hated the catheter. I begged them to take it out early and then drank like a litre of water to make sure they didn't have to put it back in

For me the worst part was the fasting, catheter and cannula in my hand
