How many ultrasounds are we having?

I've been comparing notes with several of my friends, and it seems there is *no* consensus for how many ultrasounds your doctor orders during pregnancy. One of my friends only had 3. I've already had 5 at 31 weeks and have 4 more scheduled. I'm trying to figure out if this is an doctor by doctor thing, or if it's because I'm seeing an MFM (due to chronic illness stuff; I've had zero complications with the pregnancy itself.)

So... How many are you scheduled to have?

Normal pregnancies normally see about 3-4
High risk or specialist patients see more because at the end we tend to get biophysical profiles done and those are weekly

I had an ectopic so I had scans at 5.5 weeks and 8 weeks. I'm now at 30 weeks and I think I've had 5ish total to date

I've had 2, technically 3 because I had to redo the anatomy scan because baby wasn't facing forward. They said I'd need one in the third tri because I have two small fibroids they just want to check on. So it'll be 4 total for me!

Baby boy born 🩵

Hey ladies , I’ve had nearly 2 weeks of my boy now and I’ve realised I’ve not checked in on here at all . My boy was born 30th July at 3.44 weighing 6 pound 4 ! He was born 37+3 .

He had a tough start and came out extremely bruised , the doctors said they have never seen anything like it 🙈 but he’s all okay now and very content .

Thank you everyone for all your help and advice over the last 9 months .

40+6 and still pregnant

This is my first baby, I am currently 40+6 and its really starting to get to me and just cant stay positive anymore.

I was really hoping for natural labour but I am starting to loose hope it will actually happen, and have been crying a lot for the past 2 days, as I just feel so defeated. She’s also measuring on 90th percentile and every extra day she’s there I worry that once it comes to it will be too much to handle, and my end up in emergency c-section.

I’ve got induction booked for Sunday (I’ll be 41+3) and part of me is relieved there is finally end date for this pregnancy, and part of me still wishes that the little one decides to surprise me by then, and even asking myself if I should give her even more time?

I guess this just a rant, as just needed to get it out there, and hopefully some can relate?

Finding out the gender???

Hey lovelies,

My partner wants to find the gender out but I don't want to. He won't be at the scan due to work. Would you find the gender out to please him or stick to your guns and not find out.

I want the surprise but I also don't want other people knowing even if I did find out... oh and he can't keep a secret (especially from his mum and she has a right big gob on her so everyone would know).

Eden boy name?

Hi I really love the name Eden but knowing my husband family genetics everyone only has boys. I’m wanting to name my future child Eden whether it a girl or boy, but I live in England and I don’t know if it will be odd for a boy to be named that.
