Anyone’s 4/5 year old shriek/scream whenever things don’t go their way? This behavior has increased over the last month and I’m at a loss. It’s so loud and usually seemingly disproportionate to the moment. What helps?? I’m starting to feel like I’m on the receiving end of endless impatient demands to cut crust, cut food differently, clean spills of his clothes immediately, turn up the music in the car when Apple Maps interrupts it for two seconds, you name it! But it’s also if he has a pee accident, he just shrieks at the top of his lungs. If we warn him that it’s unbelievably loud and we’ll probably be asked to leave (if we’re in a public place), he stops shrieking and keeps crying (which is fine/preferred). He never does it at school and usually not as loudly in public. But it’s starting to happen multiple times a day. Wondering if this is typical, a phase, abnormal… not sure what to do. (Gonna cross post because I’m at my wits end.)

Possibly autistic...I say this as a mom to an autistic daughter and I will say try getting him in to see a developmental pediatrician see if they can help

Yes my son just turned 5 in July and he is autistic and has recently started doing this , he shrieks/yells when things don’t go his way but I also am thinking if it’s not my pregnancy making him act like this
