Contact naps

Anyone else still contact napping? 3-4 naps a day and has to physically be ON me (not even next to me in the big bed), will only be put down for 5 minutes whilst awake. Hit and miss in the car so we limit our journeys to when absolutely necessary and when my husband can drive.

Feeling so isolated and trapped to the sofa, wondering whether I’ll get the chance to even enjoy my mat leave with my girl before I’m back at work again💔

Same here although we have graduated to 3 long naps and she will sleep next to me in the big bed. But that is literally last couple days!

Currently stuck on my second nap trap🙋🙈

Glad I’m not alone! Don’t get me wrong I love having her on me and close. But on the days I want to go out or get something done in the house I feel like crying!! The fact she’s the same in the car too makes things so tricky. If she’s tired she will scream for me to hold her and will not stop until I do

Hi yes! Still contact napping at nearly 5 months here!

Avatar

Same here, but this week I tried putting her in the pram inside and rocking it back and forth and that worked! First time ever not on me and has managed it three days now 🤞🏻 I can't stop rocking it but figure it's a start 😂

Also still doing majority contact naps (other than car/pram if we’re out) at 5 and a half months. Honestly I love it and gives me an excuse not to get on housework while my LO sleeps 🤣

We are on holiday and out and about. So get her to sleep on me then transfer to the pram and straight away rocking her back to sleep. More times working than not. 🤞🤞

She is not laying flat though. X

Nursing bra help!

Does anyone know of any nursing bras available in the UK that have this option where you can open at the front, but it still leaves some material across the top part of your boobs so you are covered whilst feeding?

I bought one in my last pregnancy from Australia, but they have stopped doing it 😭

I have found the below, but it’s just a tank top so you can’t adjust the size at the back. And with how varied my boob size is during pregnancy, freshly postpartum, and as I went through breastfeeding, I really need an adjustable back!

I know some people say just have the confidence to feed, but I’m really after something that leaves me a bit covered as it gave me so much more confidence

A question for 2nd time mummies and beyond

My social circle is all 1st time mummies with children ranging up to two and we all put a lot of focus on naps. I feel very restricted because of to the expectations I’ve now built up. I was more chill on the nap front a couple of months ago but since she dropped to two naps I’m all “nap this. Nap that” and tbh it’s not my personality at all so missing a bit of myself. I want to do what’s good for her though.

Anyway, how do you do it? It can’t be simple? School runs or clashing naps or bedtime with a toddler. Or have you just let go and say “hey, they’re happy and clearly gets their sleep somewhere”

What would you say to me? - go with it and get out and enjoy life nap worry free? or would you say be grateful for the opportunity to focus on just her and get her naps in? Or a mix of the lot? Do your expectations of yourself and reality add up?

She’ll bash toys with her hands she has facial expressions

Pls help 🥹

Morning mamas! I’ve found this beautiful dress for an event that I really want to wear. However, I’m breastfeeding, and although the dress looks lovely without a bra, I’d really like to wear one for a bit more support. Does anyone have any suggestions for what type of bra I could wear with it? I’ll have my hair down, so that should cover the back anyway.

Wet nappies overnight

Hi all, I’m in a lucky position where my LO sleeps through the night 7-4 but his morning nappy after this stint will sometimes be completely dry or not very wet at all. He does plenty of wees through the day and his first nappy in the morning fills up really fast but I just wondered if this is something I should be concerned about?

AITA?

Toddler send home with no mention of any issue- when I undressed him at bath time found large graze on his side /back/ribs. When I asked him he said he fell off the climbing frame that was very high. I asked him if the teachers were there and he said yes. I fully expect him to fall and bash himself - he’s a boy and 3 years old! But I’m annoyed that there was no mention of this and plan to
Bring it up when I go next .
