Hi 🫶🏻
Last night I snapped at my 16 month old daughter she was not settling or going to sleep I was exhausted and had work the next morning she eventually fell asleep at 12am she was fighting her sleep for ages. I just got so irritated and snappy I felt like I just had to put her down and leave the room cos of how mad I was getting. Is this normal.
As soon as she fell asleep I cried myself to sleep and I felt so awful for how I had reacted.
:( I still feel it this morning

Everyone messes up it’s understandable you would be a bit stressed and on edge if you need sleep and have work. No one expects you to be perfect all the time. But an apology goes a long way to a little one. She may have been feeling scared or sad. Get down to her level ask and validate her feelings apologize and have a plan and share it with her for what your going to try and do differently next time so you keep your cool x ❤️🌸
hi Amanda yes I did apologise to her this morning when she woke I know she doesn’t understand yet but I still had to apologise and I cuddled her and told her I loved her

I’ve had to just put my little one down sometimes as get so frustrated, and they’re better off crying in their crib for a little bit than you getting too frustrated and doing something may regret. Sometimes just need a couple minutes to calm down, I get too stressed so if my husband is in, then I’ll ask him to switch just while I calm myself. It’s totally normal, but just maybe try talking to your little one and try and explain it. 💕

It happens and is completely normal..if it gets out of control I just keep reminding myself that she's trying to communicate while crying and I don't need to worry.. First calm yourself then focus on baby
