I think having our babies made us fall more in love with each other

I think becoming a mum completely changed my relationship. Having a baby exposes everything that was already there but it also changes u as a person, ur priorities, ur tolerance, ur expectations and what u need from ur partner. For me, I realised how much I was carrying mentally and physically and how lonely u can feel even when ur technically not alone. I’m learning that sometimes the hardest changes are the ones that lead u back to yourself. For me, it highlighted a lot of things I probably wouldn’t have noticed before becoming a mum. The lack of support, the mental load, the exhaustion and suddenly having this tiny person who needs u 24/7 can really change how u see ur partner and ur relationship. I think I’ve realised that becoming a mum made me much stronger and more aware of what I actually need from a relationship. It’s been a really difficult journey and definitely not what I imagined motherhood or my relationship would look like but I’m learning so much about myself, big hug ❤️

Having a baby can make or break a relationship. It brought me and my partner closer together

brought us closer together for sure. definitely went through the room mate stage but I felt we got more back to 'us' once I stopped bf as baby then slept through the night and we started leaving him with grandparents so we could go on some dates etc. the first year is tough for sure!
