If my baby hasn’t dropped is it a sign that labour is nowhere near?
Baby is so high and it’s so uncomfortable above my belly button, like they’re arching their back
Do they have to drop for labour to start, or is this not always the case

My bump is still pretty high and her bum still sticks right up in my boobs/ ribs sometimes. The only reason why I know she's low is because my midwife can feel it at every appointment, the amount of pelvic pressure and the scans I've been having. They do need to drop lower in the pelvis to make their way out but their overall position can seem higher up. Ask your midwife next time! How far along are you?
They’ve said head down but not engaged when I asked last week, just gets so uncomfortable when they’re arching their back/bum, they seem to get stuck and refuse to move to the side for a few days
I’m 37+3, but they want baby out at 40 weeks so think I’m just getting in my head that baby being high means I’ve no chance

My bump never dropped! I had people who saw me at my baby shower so I'm a long way off as my bump was so high (I was 36 weeks). My water broke 3 days later and I gave birth 5 days later 😂 so I wouldn't worry too much! She always wasn't engaged at my midwife appointment at 12noon and 3hrs later, my waters broke 😂
