Sleep anxiety

Anybody else pregnant and just so sleep deprived you feel like you're going insane?

I've got majorly bad sleep anxiety as it is and im getting about 3/4 hours every night. im exhausted! I work full time and have a nearly 6 year old as well. I'm bursting out into tears a lot, cant think rationally, forgetting everything, snapping at everyone, my energy levels are shocking can hardly help with the housework and cooking so naturally, we're all eating shit and the house is disgusting. My partner helps best he can but he works full time also and its a physical job šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

What can I do to help my sleep? I've got a pregnancy pillow which doesn't seem to help and the weather probably isn't helping either. Desperate at this point šŸ˜…

Oh bless you I really feel for you! Are you able to speak to your dr? I'm currently getting no sleep either but mainly due to not keeping anything down and also getting severe bone aches in my legs.
Really hope things improve for youšŸ’«

I found newborn sleep refreshing compared to third trimester so I hear ya. I struggled with sleep before being pregnant and the best thing I found was not to overthink it as the stress about sleeping / getting back to sleep was often what kept me awake longer. Or getting frustrated by how awake I was!
I needed distraction so elected to use a short sleep meditation, as it made me focus on deeper breathing and relaxing my body rather than being awake. If I went back to sleep, great. If not, I was at least relaxed and resting.
A couple of times when nothing worked after 15 minutes I’d get up. Purely so that I didn’t want to negatively associate my bedroom with being awake / bad sleep so I’d change my setting. Go have a camomile tea or read a few pages of my book in another room to relax myself.
Defo don’t pick up your phone as the blue light will keep you awake even longer.
Appreciate that’s not a simple ā€˜take this’ but thought I’d share my experiences / things that worked for me x

I am in the same boat!

Have found magnesium glycinate in the evening, a bath or shower, sleep pod cast and sleeping slightly more upright all help. Also apparently is common for low level reflux to keep us up at night, so taking omeprazole can help. If all else fails gp or midwife can advise in a antihistamine to take which can make you drowsy xx

Advice needed please

Has anyone got any suggestions as to how to get my waters to break? My plug has gone and I feel like I could burst any moment but it’s not happening. I’ve had 3 occasions now where I’ve laboured for several hours with little to no progress and I’m fed up of it now (40 weeks now)

Help! Second pregnancy and I have this awful awful prickling feeling in my crotch from my pubic hair rubbing against everything or idk from what.

Does anyone else experience this it’s constant and I feel like I’m going to go crazy. No creams or baths help my dr even prescribed a strong cream but it doesn’t help either. Even sugaring doesn’t help only for a little until the hair starts to grow back. What do I do? I’m going crazy from this I can’t even sleep.

Baby dropping at 29+3

Hi this is probs nothing but I’m 29+4 today and I just keep getting a weird feeling my baby is coming soon , I’m a FTM so I’m not sure if my body is trying to tell me something or if I’m just over thinking it but today I was sitting on my sofa and I like I really need to pee again (not unusual I know) then I go pee and I got like this strange kind of relief feeling and when I stood up I felt my baby very very low like almost by my pelvic bone and now it feels and looks low - as in you know when you suck in your tummy I can do that now and I’m flat and I just have this like hard lump at the bottom of my belly - I’m not small by any means but i tried to do this before to see my baby’s size once and I literally couldn’t suck in anything it was so hard - I’m typing this at almost 4am so apologies if it’s making no sense but I don’t know what to think, I’ve been losing my mucus plug for around 2 weeks now and I know it’s regenerating but just wondering if anyone has experienced similar? Google telling me I could be close to giving birth or not at all so who knows
