I bought a closed concept house because I wanted to keep my cats out of the kitchen. 😊 my family was saying they prefer open concept and suggesting I tear the wall down to open it up… no thanks😅

Closed concept is trending again and the open concept is now considered dated.

I like a open common area concept but I definitely get not wanting the cats in the kitchen

Open is nice if you plan on entertaining, but we have one and I really wish the kitchen were its own separate room.

I like open, just because it's easier to keep an eye on my toddler while I'm in there

I like to keep my rooms seperate, they all have a different kind of theme, and if I want space I can easily go to another room whereas open concept its like you can't escape

I feel alone when I’m cooking dinner and my husband is hanging out with the baby in the family room. Our house is divided and I wish it was more open
