Sex question!

I’m almost 2 weeks postpartum 😂my sex drive is back and it’s driving me mad. Had my little boy almost 2 weeks ago but had to have stitches! How long do I have to wait before we have sex?! It’s driving me crazy!

At LEAST 6 weeks, and not just because of stitches! You still have a massive wound in your uterus as well and that needs to be given time to heal without introducing additional outside pathogens.

If you have stiches is wait 8weeks.

I’d say go for it listen your body do what makes you happy

Is at least 6 weeks! You are risking a huge infection in your uterus otherwise, you have literally a wound the size of a large plate inside of you and introducing anything inside the vagina is a risk of infection that can be even fatal. Don’t risk it just wait.

I’d wait the 6 weeks recommended because it might hurt but I could only wait 4 with my hormones 😂just becareful, You can definitely get pregnant again !!!

There’s lot of ways to have sex that doesn’t have to involve the v***

Y'all vibrators exist for a reason- there is a mandatory wait period so your body can help properly without risking serious infection

Tbh I did it at 3weeks bc my sex drive… come to find out it was me ovulating bc by 4 1/2 weeks, I started my period again. I quit bleeding by week 2 so i knew it was my period. Nothing was affected (I did have stitches), I had no infections, etc. I understand why not to do so, but also don’t let anyone shame you for what you do with your body. Listen to your body, and do as you please. We are all told 6weeks before intercourse. It’s not law, it’s a suggestion. Just understand the risk that comes with it if you might. Also make sure your partner is clean if you decide to do so

Would you rather have A) a fussy baby all day and I mean whining and crying but then sleeps through the night or B) a chill baby during the day and one who wakes up once at night who struggles to remain asleep for whatever reason but tries?

You all have the baby you have lol. Hubby and I were having a conversation about this as we have baby B but he said he would rather A bit then again he isn't on mat leave at home all day with the baby. I am just interested what others would prefer.

Presents for baby shower

A colleague of mine is having a baby shower for baby number 2.
It’s been a while since I had my own, but I really want to get something practical for her and for her baby.
I’m thinking things like nappies, baby grows for baby. What else can I get?
Also she’s not a close friend, but I’d like to get her something nice too, I was thinking a nice water bottle she can take into labour or after to keep her hydrated.
What other practical things are a life saver in those first few weeks?

Are these cot liners ok and safe? Anyone else use these?

My 5 month old keeps getting his arms and legs stuck on the side of the cot. He also has bumped his head too. Are these ok? They’re saying they are breathable too?

Unusual behaviour of my 11 week old

Hi my baby is 11 weeks old, she’s a really good sleeper at night (7-9hrs) and is pretty consistent with day time naps as well, she feeds well and is generally pretty content- however today she has been unusually sleepy, quite difficult to wake up and when she’s awake she just screaming and spitting up clear and chunky, she’s been toileting like normal and she’s had most of her feeds but they are taking ages as she just falls asleep whilst feeding (current feed she’s done 1/3 of it and started 45 mins ago and has been asleep for 20 mins) I have taken her temperature and it’s 35.9 so I called 111 and they said she’s awake and looks fine so don’t worry and it could be the start of a viral infection but might be nothing - I’m not happy with this as this is unusual for her but has anyone else had a day like this with their little ones, or do I need to escalate again

Would you let somebody taste your breastmilk?

Like a grown adult who you don’t know wants to try your breastmilk to taste

Would you allow it?

Unhappy awake baby

Is it normal for my baby to never be happy when she’s awake?
I have a 2 1/2 week old baby and I find that she sleeps all day and when she wakes up she just wants feeding and when she feeds she drifts back off to sleep so whenever she’s awake she’s just showing hunger signs or (if we leave it too long) crying to be fed. I’ve yet to see her content and just looking around interested in life when she’s awake. She just wants to be sleeping on me (or her dad) or feeding!
