I decided to take medical leave from work due to stress and was fired the last few minutes of my last work day. Before anyone says it yea it’s illegal. Nonetheless it pushed me into entrepreneurship. I opened my own Ontario paralegal based firm as I am a licensed paralegal. I’m struggling with marketing and am wondering if there are any other moms who engage in entrepreneurship. I need all the marketing tips.

How do people manage sex after a baby?
I've managed once since baby was born and that was at eleven months
We are either too tired, too many other things to do or sometimes baby is on the bed (cosleeping) and have to keep an eye on him or he wakes up and has to be rocked back to sleep
So sex is at the bottom of the list
I feel like something is wrong with us when I hear how often other couple are doing it!

Resigned my tenured career

Mixed in emotions. Worked up the corporate ladder and made a career for myself. Just resigned after 10 years in the field. In exchange more time at home and flexibility. Anyone felt the identity crisis?

Looking for friends!

Bf Advice

So me and my bf agreed for some space as the relationship wasn’t really progressing. I’ve been very supportive about this as I know he can get overwhelmed sometimes.

But I can’t shake this feeling that he wants this space to slowly start pulling away from me. I’m 25 weeks pregnant and I’ve moved temporarily back to my parents for the extra support. But I just feel like he doesn’t want all this. I want to propose a day this week to talk about where we stand.

What is the best way to approach this? Or how do I start a conversation about how I feel without letting him feel like the bad guy??

Maternity leave

Anyone else having difficulty with their maternity Leave in massachusetts? I applied for paid family medical leave in mass. About three weeks to a month prior to giving birth to my son. And he is now four weeks old, and my application is still pending. I have sat on the phone for about 40 minutes multiple times trying to get ahold of them and they keep telling me, and updating my portal that I will get a response within two weeks. So i'm just not getting paid.

Anybody else an introverted, socially awkward mom who genuinely wants friends… but has absolutely no idea how to make them as an adult? 😅😂

I’ve never really been the person with a big friend group—or even many super close friendships—and sometimes I wonder how people make it look so easy. I’m the type who can be really quiet at first, overthink whether I’m bothering someone, and probably need 3–5 business days to recover after socializing. 😂

But underneath the awkwardness, I really do want genuine friendships.

I want the kind where we can text each other random stuff, laugh about motherhood, vent when life is life-ing, grab food or coffee, have girls’ nights, or even just sit around doing absolutely nothing without it feeling weird.

I’m realizing that if I keep waiting for friendships to magically happen, I might be waiting forever… so this is me officially putting myself out there. 🥹

If you’re also a little introverted, awkward, shy, tired of surface-level friendships, or just looking for your people too… say hi. Maybe we can be awkward together until we’re not. 😂🩷
