So me and my bf agreed for some space as the relationship wasn’t really progressing. I’ve been very supportive about this as I know he can get overwhelmed sometimes.
But I can’t shake this feeling that he wants this space to slowly start pulling away from me. I’m 25 weeks pregnant and I’ve moved temporarily back to my parents for the extra support. But I just feel like he doesn’t want all this. I want to propose a day this week to talk about where we stand.
What is the best way to approach this? Or how do I start a conversation about how I feel without letting him feel like the bad guy??

After me and my partner had my daughter we weren’t really working alot of resentment going from 1 to 2 kids started happening and we agreed on space it was hard we fully did distance we obviously had to talk and be around eachother for the kids but we didnt touch eachother or go near eachother without reason this was eye opening and weve only just reconciled after 6months we are in a such a better place now.
Sometimes we all need space if we are overwhelmed definitely talk about the end goal with the space and put check ins occasionally to see where u both are at x i wouldn’t come in saying you think he is trying to pull away as he might shut down but ask an open ended question about why he’s overwhelmed and what he wants to get out the space x a new baby is hard, if hes worried about becoming a dad he might be trying to avoid reminders of the worry x my partner was worried for our second considering if he would bond and he wasn’t talking to me about it because i was pregnant and
