I’m trying not to get caught up with worldly things I see on social media. I’ve been seeing a lot of women online talking about being with a “nice guy” but still feeling like they’re not being loved how they want to be loved. So for example someone who doesn’t cheat, who is overall nice , does what you ask him to do but still just takes you for granted and doesn’t really appreciate your efforts and doesn’t love you how you want to be loved. I feel like this is something I’m going through currently . I’ve been with my husband for almost 10 years and when I look back I think there have always been signs that he doesn’t fully understand how to love me. But I prayed before we got married and surely this isn’t a “Christian” problem. Like this could be fixed with prayer? Because I’ve been seeing that I should leave my husband because of this and I’m not sure. What do you guys think ?

It’s hard to give specific advice without knowing what “not loving you the way you want to be loved” actually looks like. Are you needing more affection, appreciation, attention, help, or quality time? Have you clearly explained those needs to him, and if so, how does he respond?
Prayer is important, but it should also come with honest communication and effort from both people. I wouldn’t tell you to leave your husband based only on what you shared, but I also wouldn’t tell you to ignore your feelings. With what you gave us… the only advice I can give you is try talk to him clearly about what you need and maybe consider Christian marriage counseling. Without knowing what is actually happening or how willing he is to work on it, it’s difficult to give more advice than that.

Consider Christian marriage coaching like “Marriage Team” because it sounds like your love languages maybe different, you may have communication blocks, and you need to learn to serve one another. Also consider picking up the book “The Meaning of Marriage.”
