I can't work out if this is just part of pregnancy or there is something else wrong...
I feel ill all the time, headache, swollen glands in my neck and groin, flu like symptoms...
I'm 24 weeks pregnant, first time mum, IVF pregnancy, I've got gestational diabetes, PCOS, had really bad sickness until about 17 weeks and now it's mostly better but still get nausea sometimes. Struggling with sciatica too. I also have a bad immune system and various allergies and eczema which have all been lots worse since being pregnant. Also getting some insomnia and get a sore throat all through the night (think it's sinus related).
I feel like I'm failing at being pregnant because I'm just so unwell. Like I'm just not tough enough but this doesn't feel like a normal experience based on other pregnant women I've known.
Is this all just normal and part of pregnancy or should I be getting checked to see if there is anything else underlying? Feeling really down about it.

I love all 3 of my babies but pregnancy is the WORST time for me. I actually got really bad prenatal depression with my 3rd because I was just SO sick for so long. I see all these happy pregnant women and I just accept my body does NOT handle it like theirs! I was like you and had every symptom under the sun but my doctor would just say “that can happen.” And once I gave birth it all went away immediately. Like hours after birth all those horrible things subsided! I know this isn’t maybe the answer you’re looking for but that’s my experience.

I had alot of these similar symptoms as well during pregnancy, hang in there mama 🫶

Hope it clears up for you! I found certain things were triggered in my
Pregnancies both times, but then they went eventually. You’ve got this! Hopefully GP can also help with any medication if needed that’s safe and I’d recommend plenty natural remedies for sore throat/flu type symptoms, plenty honey and lemon and stay hydrated in general and use of daily vitamins! I also tried out some anti sickness tablets before to help with the nausea from my GP, may be worth a shout trying them if you are struggling
