Anyone choosing c-section for personal reasons, how was the process with NHS?

Long story short I am terrified of vaginal labour and birth and always knew I was going to opt in for planned c-section. I have no medical reasons, just personal anxiety. I have been referred to speak to a midwife about birthing options - how should I approach this meeting? I have heard NHS likes to push back heavily on this if you do not have medical reasons, however I know it is MY choice to make. Wondering what attitude I should bring to this meeting.

The attitude you should take is that it is your choice and you can make that decision. I believe they will have to legally give you the pros and cons medically for it, this does not mean they are against, it is just protocol.

If you feel uneasy or that they are pushing their views and you feel under pressure then you have the legal right to refuse their care and request the care from someone else.

Remember, mental health and anxiety is regarded as a medical issue so they can’t say it’s not medically warranted.

As an expected parent/parent it is imperative that you are in the strongest/best mental state you can be to look after and protect your baby. Do not belittle your feelings for concerns of what others might think. You need to protect yourself in order to protect your baby. That’s a definition of being a good Mum.x.x.x.

I have opted to have a planned C section scheduled so that I don’t go over my due date (age reasons). I had to have a video appointment with a specialist midwife two weeks ago, she went through all the risks associated with a Caesarean and also natural labour along with my reason why. I didn’t feel any pressure to avoid a caesarean, she mentioned a couple of times she is not here to make me choose any particular route, but only to give all of the options and at the end of the call she booked it in for me. No issues and a very pleasant experience

Braxton Hicks

What on earth are they suppose to feel like?
I've had moments of light cramps in lower area, right by the pelvis, like period pain. And the belly gets hard but not very uncomfortable.

Are the hicks supposed to be painful?

Increased movements @ 40weeks

I have been awake for the last 3 hours with baby moving so much.

I called triage and they not too concerned and it’s up to me if I want to get checked out. But just feels like my baby hasn’t stopped moving so much so it’s kept me awake all night.

I don’t know what to do. I feel like I’m over thinking it. Movement is a good thing right?

Feel rubbish all the time

I can't work out if this is just part of pregnancy or there is something else wrong...

I feel ill all the time, headache, swollen glands in my neck and groin, flu like symptoms...

I'm 24 weeks pregnant, first time mum, IVF pregnancy, I've got gestational diabetes, PCOS, had really bad sickness until about 17 weeks and now it's mostly better but still get nausea sometimes. Struggling with sciatica too. I also have a bad immune system and various allergies and eczema which have all been lots worse since being pregnant. Also getting some insomnia and get a sore throat all through the night (think it's sinus related).

I feel like I'm failing at being pregnant because I'm just so unwell. Like I'm just not tough enough but this doesn't feel like a normal experience based on other pregnant women I've known.

Is this all just normal and part of pregnancy or should I be getting checked to see if there is anything else underlying? Feeling really down about it.

Its not a comfortable feeling at all 😂😂 i wish he would just kick higher but hes pummeling my cervix or close to it im assuming and it just makes me feel a bit sick🥹
