My 11weeks of Lo was diagnosed with tongue tie on the 4th day in hospital and had his first tongue tie procedure done on week 2 and I got a stomach bug in week 3 and was ill for 2 weeks. I didn’t really do as much exercise as I wanted to but the infant feeding team midwife told me that it won’t be the main issue. She said he could have a posterior tongue tie and has refer me but there’s still 5 weeks to wait and this week I have noticed the feeding has become so long as he also start fussing and getting distracted. I have change position changed room m, walked around do other stuff but he still fussing and today even did a little
Sad face cooing at me. I almost cried and felt like I have failed him. :( Each feed are now at least an hour including winding and some going on for 2-3 hours. The last couple day he’s been cluster feeding I’m in so much pain and feel so tired. I barely have time to eat and wonder should I just go and get it privately done? Is this happening to other people? Is there anything I can do?
He is due for 2nd jab next week I’m so torn I really don’t want him to go through everything at the same time. It’s one thing after another 😭

Can you afford to do the procedure privately? That’s what we’re having to do as the wait time on the NHS is too long.
