I am about to graduate with my associate’s this fall semester and transfer for my bachelor’s degree in the spring
but I’m feeling discouraged because I have been going to interviews looking for the right starting position and I’m just ready to get out of the house especially since my kids are all going to school? I am really gunning for this position at $22/hr that I would love and the director loved me, the manager, even the corporate manager!
they said they would get back to me regarding next steps today Monday 08/17 but they haven’t called or sent an email.. my husband said I should call them tomorrow? the job doesn’t start until september 1st and they even moved me to the 2nd round and asked if I was still interested
I do get discouraged because my husband makes like $45-$50/hr so i’m trying to build myself a career too? to be able to contribute
but either way I’ll finish my degree and if i do get the job it’s great but if i don’t it’s okay i guess?
😞 What should I do?

Calling is often more helpful for following up than emailing is. We got the house we're renting because I made a phone call, instead of texting or emailing the landlord that we were interested.

Maybe pump the breaks on that call. I know it’s hard, but if they want to hire you, they will call you. It’s only been a day. Also, If they do want you, and you reach out asking prematurely you might look desperate and lose all your leverage.
