Car seat issues

Help!! My daughter screams badly EVERY time I put her in the car seat. It causes me so much aniexty to take her out, I feel so trapped at the moment as don’t want to take her out because of it. It’s like a bad scream to the point where she’s sweating due to getting so worked up. This panics me so I always pull over to calm her down and put her back in. Has anyone had anything similar and can offer some advice? Thanks so much x x

my little boy was the same, especially if the car stopped at traffic lights he’d scream bloody murder. he’s just gone 5 months and he’s not as bad, but it’s still not great

My littlest was the same. It turned out to be because of silent reflux so it’s worth checking if this could be the case. It does get better, mine loves the car now.

My daughter has been the same, what’s worked for me is taking her mid nap so she’s super drowsy and usually can fall back asleep, also opening the back window so she can see out if the weather is mild x

Mine hated the carseat till she was about 4 months old. She would be fine for 5 minutes and then scream. The only thing that stopped it was to start at a much slower speed (say 50 in a 70) and then as fast and safely as possible get to the roads speed. It sent her to sleep most times. I also wore head phones incase it didn't work because I couldnt cope with the cry too

You are not alone, I am in exactly the same boat, my baby boy hates the car and I have tried everything but nothing has worked, I have a 3 year old so I have to get out and about and the more I have the less anxious I feel, I never go far and all I do is plan my stops calm him down and go again. It will just be a phase and they will grow out of it but it is so hard x

Might be worth a car seat fit check it could be discomfort in the car. Could also be because they can’t see you. In the UK you can rear face in the front seat providing you can turn the air bag off so maybe this could help?

My baby was awful in the car until 5 months. Playing the haopy song on a loop did help. Good luck, its hard going xx

My baby screams whenever the car stops at the lights and sometimes entire trips so I get it! But sometimes she sleeps perfectly fine. My advice, make sure you time the outings right, make sure it’s 10-20 minutes after they have a bottle or when they are overtired and fighting sleep. I find the car makes her go to sleep in both situations. Also make sure she’s not too hot or too cold, their nappy has been changed so they aren’t uncomfortable and put hanging toys or a mirror near them so they can have something to look at rather than nothing. I personally use a camera too so I can see my baby during the car ride so she usually looks at the camera lense too

Milk supply

Please tell me your positive supply stories and things that actually helped. Currently 6 weeks PP. Seeing results with regular pumping (5 per 24 hours) and Domperidone but still a long way off full supply, hoping there’s still a chance to keep increasing output.

Can anyone recommend a nappy cream for a really sore bum please? We’ve used sudocrem & weleda nappy cream so far but doesn’t seem to be getting any better :(

Too much milk?

My baby is 3 weeks old and has had 42 ounces of milk in a 24 hour period she usually has around 30 which I thought was too much anyway. She always seems to be hungry... Has anyone else had this? Everywhere online says it is way too much.

My mom died yesterday

My wedding should have been today. But I postponed, because a week ago my mom had a stroke. It feels like my entire life imploded, I don't feel like I'm in my body. The grief is so unbearable I'm either needing to have the tv on as I do something else, or I'm just staring off. The pain is worse than anything I've ever felt, I truly cannot fathom life without her here. I'm beyond heartbroken.

I'm hoping some other people who've lost a parent can share some encouragement. Right now there's no light at the end of the tunnel.

Newborn side sleeping

Any thoughts? My baby girl is 5 weeks old. I always lay her flat on her back in the cot but she wiggles her way to the edge to shove her face on the side, she also sleeps on her side. Should I be concerned?

Hayden Panettiere😥

This is just super sad but I think it's important to talk about. Hayden passed yesterday & her daughter is 8 years old. Hayden struggled with substances (I believe before she had her daughter, no offense. I've been a big fan since I was 6 years old lol)

What makes me really sad is she didn't have a normal upbringing with her mom. She was forced to do commercials at 10 months old. I can only imagine how her mother tended to her. She was thrown into the screens of acting before being consistently put in gigs for commercials, & once she got a big one that was it for her mom. She forced her to act relentlessly. Whether they got the job or not.

3 months ago she wrote her autobiography & idk honestly if she's truly honest in it. Idk if she knew that how she was raised with such little endearment, love, time to be such a small human.. idk if she ever connected it. It honestly breaks my heart.

So I'm wondering, do you think she passed from addi***** or do you think it was a long time trickle effect of how she was raised? She gave her daughter up to the father early on due to her issues she battled with. I'm not here to state she's a monster, I am just so sad she wasn't whole when she passed. Truly.

I personally believe that we are a product of who raised us, & that is what ultimately lead to her d**** 😢😭 I bet she wasn't loved or consoled even for bumping her head as a toddler that we would even stop to hold ours for a moment, I bet her mom let her cry it out for hours at a time & I bet she hurt her/ disciplined/ scared her into making her an actress. It's so sad. But I think what hurts most is idk if she ever knew that/ wanted to cross that bridge either. & maybe that's why she chased another reality? It makes absolute sense why she didn't fight custody and gave it right away.. so sad.
