Iāve been advised to have a C-Section as there will only be 16 months between the deliveries of my 2 babies.
My due date is 31st December, so being booked in a week early would mean my section date will be Christmas Eve.
Now, all I care about is the health and happiness of my child, but ideally I do not want to have my baby on that day.
Is there any chance of choosing a day to be booked in?? For example, 22nd December as opposed to 24th. Any help is appreciated x

I usually depends what availability the hospital has but you can always ask I suppose! The worst they can do is say no. Sometimes it's not always the week before it can be the week you're due or even after. I had my little girl a week early but that was due to me mithering as originally I was booked in for a week after due to a mix up with dates. I hope you get sortedāŗļøxx

Things change. My boy was scheduled for 28th December but then I developed ICP at week 32 so they moved him to 22nd December. THEN the pathology lab striked so I was moved to 18th December!
Itās down to the hospitalās availability but one good thing is they get the Xmas/NY staffing rotas done pretty early. Theyāll take into account bank holidays, staff leave and theatre availability in good time and if things move they can flex.

My hospital said that if you do an elective c-section you get given a rough date but you can think about what birthdate you might like and ask for a specific day. You might not get it because of availability but you can ask. You can also wait until your due date or afterwards and still request an elective, thereās just a greater chance youāll go into labour before that.

I scheduled for C-section and they let me picked a day only after 28 weeks also it have to be working day

I had my son on the 19th for that exact reason! I was due to have one on the 23rd and I didnāt want it to be that close so asked for a few days earlier. Deffo worth an ask
