Hi Everyone!
First time postingš I am a recent NICU mum and gave birth via emergency c-section at 30 weeks due to having severe pre-eclampsia and my placenta dying. Anyone else here experience similar? How did you guys cope postpartum? Did you find anything helpful or unhelpful? I am currently waiting for therapy to help me process everything & have had birth reflection to help tooš«¶š» Just wondering if you guys found anything else helpful! Hopefully can connect with some of youš©·

I had an extremely similar experience. My daughter was born and my placenta was dying because of Eclampsia. She was in the NICU for thankfully a short amount of time being able to come home after a week. We were told if we had waited any longer to go to the hospital she might not have survived.
Iām not sure if I have much to offer other than youāre not alone. Itās an incredibly stressful time, and make sure you prioritize your recovery as much as possible. I was super sick after for a while and it really affected my mental health, and in the end I just didnāt give myself the opportunity to rest as I should have.
Feel free to message me anytime you need a hand!

I was the same. My boy was born at 29weeks via emergency c section due to me having pre eclampsia. Spent 9 week in Nicu, we came home last Sunday. Only been home just over a week and itās been crazy! I donāt think you process everything until after!
