I am 5 weeks 5 days and had an early scan this morning due to cramping last week. Everything on my scan looks exactly how it should and the consultant was happy. However she did mention I have a heart shaped uterus and implantation occured on my right. I asked what did that mean and she explained uterus has a slight drip which makes it heart shaped. She said it's nothing to worry about. I stupidly googled after the scan and read there is an increased risk of miscarriage etc. Does anyone have a heart shaped uterus/have positive stories?

My sister in law has this, after sadly having two miscarriages she’s got a gorgeous little boy and is due next month to have a little girl🥹..she had extra scans and appointments just to make sure everything stayed healthy for both pregnancies and any more going forward xx

I had one. I had a procedure on it to flatten the top prior to getting pregnant as we were struggling to conceive. It was explained to me that it wasn't necessarily the reason for infertility but wasn't helping. Went on to have babies afterwards! :) I recommend not googling and focus on enjoying your pregnancy. Congratulations!

I have it too. The main difference you’ll experience is that you’ll get more checks since it slightly increases the risk of preterm births and they generally stop checking it after 24weeks. Another issue could be that baby has less space to turn and remains breech so c-section could be the option. I know that google checking is normal, but please don’t worry! google just tells you all the worse case scenarios which normally do not apply ❤️
