This may be stupid question but im feeling completely lost and frustrated ๐ค๐
Im currently 6w and had two previous miscarriages. Obviously im very anxious and every little detail/symptom is being over analised a million times because what else do i have to do ๐
But for example yesterday i believed i had some spotting which sent me into a tiny, slightly over the top meltdown to which i messaged my GP asking to be seen the following day for reassurance ect, to which they messaged saying i should go to A&E to be refered to the EPAC. So i though F-that as last time i waited over 15 hours to be seen as i was sent to the wrong department and they 'couldnt find me' like i was some strange anonymy. So i called EPAC and they said i need a referal from my GP (screams internally). Which i said my GP said they cannot refer me and basically wont do anything to do with pregnancy so what do i do? She said well it isnt an emergency im sure everything will be okay ๐คญ so my question is who TF do we call/contact or whatever in these scenarios because im at a loss and quietly lossing my marbles. I mean even just bringing me in to talk about my concerns would of been better then told 'im sure itll be okay'. Right okay then ๐

Sorry your going the this. Maybe try 111 and see if they can get your GP to do a referral or at least be able to give you some piece of mind x

I had spotting at the weekend and I called the labour ward at my local hospital and they transferred me to the gynaecology ward who booked me a scan appointment for the Monday. Whoever youโve referred yourself with for appointments is who you need to call.
Also just fyi my spotting was implantation building as they saw a bruise next to baby, but all was fine. Could absolutely be the same case with you especially if itโs light spotting, but definitely worth getting it checked out!

111 can refer to EPU during the week as far as I know. Iโm sorry thatโs really rubbish. My hospital accepts self referrals to EPU and told me that I should only go to A&E if itโs a risk to life situation like bleeding through a pad every hour otherwise I should call them but in past pregnancy (at different hospital) Iโve either gone via A&E or 111.

My past pregnancy I just went to A&E for reassurance who took my bloods and then referred me to the EPU via A&E who saw me 2 days later for comparison bloods
