Who do we contact?!

This may be stupid question but im feeling completely lost and frustrated ๐Ÿ˜ค๐Ÿ˜‚

Im currently 6w and had two previous miscarriages. Obviously im very anxious and every little detail/symptom is being over analised a million times because what else do i have to do ๐Ÿ™„

But for example yesterday i believed i had some spotting which sent me into a tiny, slightly over the top meltdown to which i messaged my GP asking to be seen the following day for reassurance ect, to which they messaged saying i should go to A&E to be refered to the EPAC. So i though F-that as last time i waited over 15 hours to be seen as i was sent to the wrong department and they 'couldnt find me' like i was some strange anonymy. So i called EPAC and they said i need a referal from my GP (screams internally). Which i said my GP said they cannot refer me and basically wont do anything to do with pregnancy so what do i do? She said well it isnt an emergency im sure everything will be okay ๐Ÿคญ so my question is who TF do we call/contact or whatever in these scenarios because im at a loss and quietly lossing my marbles. I mean even just bringing me in to talk about my concerns would of been better then told 'im sure itll be okay'. Right okay then ๐Ÿ‘

Sorry your going the this. Maybe try 111 and see if they can get your GP to do a referral or at least be able to give you some piece of mind x

I had spotting at the weekend and I called the labour ward at my local hospital and they transferred me to the gynaecology ward who booked me a scan appointment for the Monday. Whoever youโ€™ve referred yourself with for appointments is who you need to call.

Also just fyi my spotting was implantation building as they saw a bruise next to baby, but all was fine. Could absolutely be the same case with you especially if itโ€™s light spotting, but definitely worth getting it checked out!

111 can refer to EPU during the week as far as I know. Iโ€™m sorry thatโ€™s really rubbish. My hospital accepts self referrals to EPU and told me that I should only go to A&E if itโ€™s a risk to life situation like bleeding through a pad every hour otherwise I should call them but in past pregnancy (at different hospital) Iโ€™ve either gone via A&E or 111.

My past pregnancy I just went to A&E for reassurance who took my bloods and then referred me to the EPU via A&E who saw me 2 days later for comparison bloods

Family meeting baby

First time mum due in a few weeks and wondering what people did with regards to immediate family (parents, siblings and partners) meeting baby for the first time.
Did you have just parents come to the hospital and then the rest of the family (siblings and partners) over to the house later, if so, when?
did you have all immediate family visit the hospital, or no-one visit the hospital?

Am I getting the right info? What should I know?

Hi all,
Iโ€™m a first time mum and Iโ€™ve had issues with midwives changing and telling me different things at each appointment. Iโ€™m currently 36+1 and I have not been spoken to about a birthing plan (Iโ€™ve asked and keep being told โ€œnext timeโ€ - multiple times). I also have absolutely no idea what my babies estimated weight is - I didnโ€™t realise this information was given. I feel like the midwifery team are really letting me down. (There have been other issues in which I found out information very late or had to fight to get things sorted).
I rang to try to change an appointment, spent over an hour on hold and being passed to different people as everyone was saying they donโ€™t deal with appointments. I was then hung up on. I rang back and the woman said she would email the relevant team and I still havenโ€™t had any communication. I am classed as out of area (I live between two hospitals and chose one). I asked the health visitor if I could switch and she said there was no point.
At this stage what should I know about my baby??

Anterior placenta babies

Mums who have birth to babies with an anterior placentaโ€ฆ. howโ€™s your nervous system doing ๐Ÿ˜…

My baby loves to stuff his face into something soft to get to sleep and iโ€™m just riddled with anxiety ready to take it off him as soon as he does.
