Hiya mums ! I am 31 weeks and I am wanting to know if before your water breaks you had any signs that it was about to happen- I know people say you definitely can’t confuse the feeling of when the water breaks as it’s supposed to feel like a pop in your belly but right before it happens do you feel anything? Pressure? Let me know 😁🫶🏼

With my first it just broke spontaneously while laying in bed. I had cramps leading up to it and I did feel and hear a pop and when I stood up it all gushed out.
With my second it was a little different, I had been leaking very very little for about 2 days, before going into labor, the day of me giving birth I had a a small little gush of water leak out and then the contractions started building up. Right before I gave birth the remainder of my water broke. I’d also been cramping and had lower back pressure which was a sign for me.

If you think you’re leaking or that your water broke put on a pad and if it gets soaked or fills up after a little bit it’s your water. My water broke in my first pregnancy spontaneously. I woke up in the middle of the night to go pee and it just gushed out so I had no cramps or no feeling before that I didn’t feel anything I was sleeping, but I also wasn’t having any contractions before that with my second. It broke right before birth and I had an epidural so I don’t know what it felt like. It could be a gush or it could be a little trickle. Try to go pee and see how that goes and then if you think you are still leaking, then put on the pad.

And especially for you being 31 weeks you definitely would need to call triage as soon as you think it broke/put on a pad to know if it broke

Mine broke 9 hours into labour, 20 mins before my baby was finally born! I honestly just thought I peed myself on the hospital bed

Your waters might not actually break like how you’d expect - my first the midwife broke them for me while I was in labour as I wasn’t progressing past 4cm and I went from 4-10cm in two hours. The second time, the midwife thought they had already gone when I had been in the pool but I had gotten out to give birth and they ended up popping on her face 🫣😅

Thank you ladies 😁💕

Mine popped as I was pushing my daughter out

I woke up in the middle of the night to a literal pop sensation. I knew almost immediately! I can only describe it as It felt like a ballon that you’d pop with a tac and the water just flowed.

my husband and i did it then i went to bed stood up that morning and it broke. weird feeling like you’re constantly peeing yourself wear the diapers to the hospital!

My water unfortunately didn’t break on it own. I went majority of my morning not knowing i was having contractions at all but still did whatever that it was that day while driving around towns. Well to be short i eventually went to the hospital in the afternoon and got admitted and i was at a 4 and only 36wks to at that they either popped my water before or after the epidural.

Oh my gosh ! All these stories are getting me excited and a bit nervous! I wish I just knew the day it would happen I’m getting antsy !

Mine definitely didn't feel like what I expected. I was in active labour for 7 days with EXTREME back contractions. I would have to stand up during my contractions because otherwise I would almost pass out.
When it happened I was having a contraction but it felt a little different. The only way I can try to explain it is instead of my tail bone and spine it was like creeping up underneath me almost at my butt hole 😂
When she helped me stand up, I legit said “I peed myself or my water broke” because it did feel like I peed myself the second I stood up. I went into the bathroom and my mom got me a pad and she said to put it on and clean myself up and then we would figure it out. As soon as I stood up from the toilet I knew it was my water because another gush of fluid came out and then that exact second the worst contractions of my life started and they came very 45 seconds after that.

My waters went spontaneously with my both my children. (1st wk early, 2nd 2 wk early) both went after having a wee and coming back to bed..
There was no pop/warning both times, I questioned if I was still weeing 🙈 but the water didn’t stop coming so I knew lol x

I had contractions first and they broke a few hours later. It was a MASSIVE gush of warm water.. and a lot of it which definitely could not be mistaken. Didn’t feel a pop or twinge but obviously already knew I was in labour because of the contractions beforehand.

I’d say don’t really worry about it, wear some pads or period undies in the last couple weeks but for all 3 of my babies they had to pop my waters so I can progress- that’s already after 20hrs active labour. Not every woman bursts their waters like the movies show. Sometimes it’s a trickle. Sometimes it doesn’t, and has to be manually bursted, or as baby is coming out. Mine popped by them on the hospital bed and they cleaned it straight after w new sheets. Just live life and do your thing.
I got induced on Tuesday 18th August via pessary then after 24 hours the midwives broke my waters at 5pm yesterday. After less than 7 hours of labour I gave birth to my beautiful baby girl this morning at 12:04am and weighs 7lb 12oz. I asked for an epidural but it failed and before I knew it I had to push and she was out in a few minutes. My fourth and last baby and I'm so blessed to have her 😍🥰

Whats everyones baby’s measuring? I’m 33 weeks and baby is measuring on the 37th percentile at 4 pounds 5. Just curious if anyone else has had a growth scan and what the measurements are

So I'm 7 days pp, just had my pico dressing taken off. But I'm getting so confused, every time I'm seeing someone different (midwives, doctors) and as you can imagine everyone says something different.
Last scar I had keloid I really want to minimize the risk of it happening or at least prevent it from forming that big.
When is the best time to start using cream, belly band and silicone patches? Once they told me to use scar patches after 6 days which is when stitches dissolve, now they told me to wait 2-3 weeks.., some people after c section put the belly band next day as well.
Let me know what did work for you? Is there a general consensus?

I had my 36+4 week midwife appointment yesterday, baby is measuring 98th percentile (I know from my first that this isn't reliable). Therefore the midwife has asked for a growth scan. I'm just seeing how long it took from your midwife emailing for one before you got your appointment date? Also because I am swamped with appointments this week and next, it also took them 3 weeks to FINALLY give me my VBAC consultation appointment.... They had to email the hospital 3 times, so I'm kind of worried my scan will be the same issue.
