So I'm 7 days pp, just had my pico dressing taken off. But I'm getting so confused, every time I'm seeing someone different (midwives, doctors) and as you can imagine everyone says something different.
Last scar I had keloid I really want to minimize the risk of it happening or at least prevent it from forming that big.
When is the best time to start using cream, belly band and silicone patches? Once they told me to use scar patches after 6 days which is when stitches dissolve, now they told me to wait 2-3 weeks.., some people after c section put the belly band next day as well.
Let me know what did work for you? Is there a general consensus?

With my last c-section they had me wear the belly band as soon as the catheter was out and I was standing. The cream and patches I think I was told to wait 2-3 weeks or until the scar seemed totally closed.

I didn’t use belly bands either time at the advice of my obstetrician and midwife.
Scar patches though are for a healed scar, 6 weeks minimum. On a wound, they can trap germs and sweat and cause infection.

Don’t use cream until you are fully closed up and healed. I had an antibacterial soap that I used but I didn’t used a cream or bio oil until I was fully closed. I also never used a band or silicone patches so idk for that. But I don’t think the silicone patches for sure aren’t really needed. Just use some bio oil and that can help with the appearance
Having my c section tomorrow at 39+5.
Due to go in for 7:15 then I’m no 3 out of 3 ladies to go down.
I’m absolutely petrified can anyone give me some positive experience examples 🤣.
Obviously can’t wait to meet baby girl but the rest of it is giving me the fear 🤦🏻♀️

First time mum due in a few weeks and wondering what people did with regards to immediate family (parents, siblings and partners) meeting baby for the first time.
Did you have just parents come to the hospital and then the rest of the family (siblings and partners) over to the house later, if so, when?
did you have all immediate family visit the hospital, or no-one visit the hospital?

Mums who have birth to babies with an anterior placenta…. how’s your nervous system doing 😅
My baby loves to stuff his face into something soft to get to sleep and i’m just riddled with anxiety ready to take it off him as soon as he does.

Hi, i was at the midwife yesterday and shes sent my urine off due to the results been inconclusive. However iv woken up this morning with pain in my right lower abdomen that doesn’t go away even when sat down, i don’t really feel like eating and i feel like i need a wee every 5 minutes.
Im just looking for some advice should i ring my GP, my midwife or leave it and see how i get on

This may be stupid question but im feeling completely lost and frustrated 😤😂
Im currently 6w and had two previous miscarriages. Obviously im very anxious and every little detail/symptom is being over analised a million times because what else do i have to do 🙄
But for example yesterday i believed i had some spotting which sent me into a tiny, slightly over the top meltdown to which i messaged my GP asking to be seen the following day for reassurance ect, to which they messaged saying i should go to A&E to be refered to the EPAC. So i though F-that as last time i waited over 15 hours to be seen as i was sent to the wrong department and they 'couldnt find me' like i was some strange anonymy. So i called EPAC and they said i need a referal from my GP (screams internally). Which i said my GP said they cannot refer me and basically wont do anything to do with pregnancy so what do i do? She said well it isnt an emergency im sure everything will be okay 🤭 so my question is who TF do we call/contact or whatever in these scenarios because im at a loss and quietly lossing my marbles. I mean even just bringing me in to talk about my concerns would of been better then told 'im sure itll be okay'. Right okay then 👍
Help an emotionally unstable girl out 😂

Hiya, just wondering if anyone else is finding it more and more exhausting as they go through their pregnancy? I feel like with my last pregnancy I didn’t struggle this much and I had twins last time around! They’re now toddlers so I guess I’m finding it hard running around free them but just feel like I have no motivation and just breathless constantly.
