Hi all, I’m 4 weeks and just found out. I’ve got 2 kids and had a miscarriage at 12 weeks in Feb this year, would have been due this week so mixed feelings atm. Quite anxious but excited. I’ll be due end of April so 12 week scan won’t be till mid October. Thinking to do a private scan what is a good time to get that done? 6+ weeks?

Congratulations and yeah from 6 weeks but they recommend from 7 weeks as it's about the time a heartbeat has developed and you can get a clearer pic of baby x

Heartbeat is normally seen from 6 weeks.

Hey, I’m the same well 3+6, and had a previous loss much earlier than yours. I’m planning just after 7 weeks as that’s when google tells me I’ve got the best chance of getting the reassurance of having a heartbeat (without my date being slightly out and unnecessary uncertainty). I’ll be a FTM if all goes well x
Thanks everyone! I will book one around 7 weeks then hopefully get the reassurance I need 🙈

I done one at 8 weeks with my daughter and 9 with my son. I’d absolutely recommend waiting till the 8 if you can as you see more however, it’s not always possible. With my son I also had a reassurance scan earlier via NHS. Think I was around 6-7 weeks and the difference was huge in those few weeks. As you’ve had a loss, you should be entitled to an early reassurance scan through the EPU. I’m going to phone next week and they’ll get me booked in for one x
I got induced on Tuesday 18th August via pessary then after 24 hours the midwives broke my waters at 5pm yesterday. After less than 7 hours of labour I gave birth to my beautiful baby girl this morning at 12:04am and weighs 7lb 12oz. I asked for an epidural but it failed and before I knew it I had to push and she was out in a few minutes. My fourth and last baby and I'm so blessed to have her 😍🥰

Whats everyones baby’s measuring? I’m 33 weeks and baby is measuring on the 37th percentile at 4 pounds 5. Just curious if anyone else has had a growth scan and what the measurements are

So I'm 7 days pp, just had my pico dressing taken off. But I'm getting so confused, every time I'm seeing someone different (midwives, doctors) and as you can imagine everyone says something different.
Last scar I had keloid I really want to minimize the risk of it happening or at least prevent it from forming that big.
When is the best time to start using cream, belly band and silicone patches? Once they told me to use scar patches after 6 days which is when stitches dissolve, now they told me to wait 2-3 weeks.., some people after c section put the belly band next day as well.
Let me know what did work for you? Is there a general consensus?

I had my 36+4 week midwife appointment yesterday, baby is measuring 98th percentile (I know from my first that this isn't reliable). Therefore the midwife has asked for a growth scan. I'm just seeing how long it took from your midwife emailing for one before you got your appointment date? Also because I am swamped with appointments this week and next, it also took them 3 weeks to FINALLY give me my VBAC consultation appointment.... They had to email the hospital 3 times, so I'm kind of worried my scan will be the same issue.

Hiya mums ! I am 31 weeks and I am wanting to know if before your water breaks you had any signs that it was about to happen- I know people say you definitely can’t confuse the feeling of when the water breaks as it’s supposed to feel like a pop in your belly but right before it happens do you feel anything? Pressure? Let me know 😁🫶🏼
