I know everyone will probably have different opinions on this, but I’m curious what other mums are doing with dummies around this age.
My little girl used to only have her dummy for naps and bedtime. Then we went on holiday, and she’s been poorly a few times since, so we ended up letting her have it more during the day for comfort. I also think her molars are moving, so I’m not against her having it when she genuinely needs a bit of extra comfort.
The problem is she’s become a bit obsessed with it 😅 She will go absolutely mad for it. I’ve tried distracting her, letting her have the tantrum and riding it out, but she is persistent. She’ll just keep going and going. I think she probably knows that eventually I’ll give in because sometimes I just need to get her dressed/get out of the house/get things done and she gets so upset that it becomes impossible.
For some reason I feel really guilty whenever I give it to her. I think I’ve got it in my head that she’s going to end up with buck teeth 😅 Her speech is really good, she literally doesn’t stop talking, and it’s not like she has the dummy permanently. She’s just definitely asking for it a lot more than she used to.
Then the other half of me thinks… does it actually matter that much right now? She’s still little, she’s obviously getting comfort from it and it’s not like she’s going to be walking around with a dummy when she’s 15!
Just curious what everyone else with a dummy-loving toddler is doing? Are you restricting it to naps/bedtime, letting them have it when they ask, or planning to get rid of it altogether?

We got rid of the dummy around 16/17 months as I could tell she was getting a bit attached and relying on it too much for sleep, I didn’t want it to affect her teeth & speech either.
If you’re wanting to reduce it I’d limit to just naps, but when it comes to getting rid I personally feel like you just have to go cold turkey, explain that it’s gone now and stick to that. Replacing it with a soft toy / comforter is normally the easiest way forward. We swapped the dummy for a cuddly bunny and she takes that to bed with her instead.
My personal opinion is the older they get the harder it’s been to get rid of the dummy - but that’s purely from working in a nursery and seeing other peoples experiences!
The doctor told me you can't circumcise your baby boy with out the vitamin k shot, but I don't want him to have the vitamin K shot, but I do want him to get circumcised.
What are your guys experience?

I am waiting for my daughter to be 6 months to start a sleep training method. Currently, she only does naps on me and nights are divided into two where my husband keeps her until 10:30-11:30 (she sleeps on him) and then we co-sleep. I am not sleeping obviously since she eats often or wakes up because she wants comfort🙃.
Any advice? What did you do? What do you recommend?
She’s extremely attached to both of us and we tried the cry out method when she hit the 4month regression and it was HORRIBLE. I cried with her, she was way too young. She’s 5 months now and we’re going on a trip but as soon as we’re back, for my sanity we need to do something about it🥲.

hey everyone! i did a Keeping in Touch day today at work for the first time and left my little one with grandma, she was absolutely fine playing but when it came to nap time she cried so much because she usually feeds to sleep with me, around 4 months old she used to take a bottle no problem when I had my mum look after her but now she is refusing the bottle, I guess at 8 months she is obviously able to tell the difference and just doesn’t like it… Im just worried that she won’t nap properly when i go back to work fully because she won’t like feeding from the bottle.
Has anyone got any tips to teach baby to take the bottle too if they’re exclusively breast fed? Luckily today was just a half day so i ran to my mums to feed her and put her down 😀

My little one is two years old. We put her hair up or clip it back so it's not in her eyes. I had bangs when I was little and so did my sisters, so my mom naturally asked if I was going to give my daughter them. My husband has also asked me if we're going to. I'm not sure about it. Obviously if she asks for bangs when she's older she can have them, maybe I just have bad memories of trying to grow out my bangs for a while lol and having them be crooked when my mom tried to cut them herself.
