How soon is too soon to announce?

Hey! I’d love to hear when others announced their pregnancy! So it’s something we’re super excited about and sadly we lost twins back in June. Due to the nature of my job I’m seeing clients regularly and I’m extremely bloated (looking about 5 months already 🤣) I’m trying to hide it but clothes are too tight and it’s showing big time which people are now asking questions. (Yes, my lot don’t hold back!) we’re really proud and actually would love to shout it to the world but also feel we’d be frowned upon as it’s so early. I’d love to hear your journeys and announcements and if this bloating has happened to others!

Whenever you want! It’s your pregnancy and you’re allowed to be excited. I told my parents at 5 weeks. People say not to in case you lose the baby but you wouldn’t want to go through that alone anyway. I’m so sorry about your twins. Congrats on your new pregnancy xx

Well my coworkers figured out my second pregnancy when I was about 4 weeks and I just told everyone then. My first pregnancy I was about 8 weeks when we told people. I would sat announce whenever you want to, it's your pregnancy.

Never too soon to announce it. Anyone who frowns upon when someone else chooses to announce their pregnancy is an idiot 🙈. Whether you carry a baby full term or unfortunately miscarry early on. You have every right to celebrate and be excited. It's sad that so many people seem to think they should quietly have a miscarriage and keep it a secret that that little life ever existed.

Whenever you want to. I told all my workmates the day after I found out because I needed to get out of scrubbing for an X-ray case… well I told one person who leaked the news and it spread like wildfire. I was raging. I think I was 4 weeks. But I work in a very hazardous environment (chemical, biological, radiological, moving and handling risk).

Anyway. I went to the toilet and by the time I came back someone who doesn’t even work in my department congratulated me in the corridor.

I thought f that. This is my news so I made a point of telling everyone before someone else did.

My family etc didn’t find out until after my 12 week scan.

I told my mum and sister, who I’m very close with pretty much as soon as I found out and then my partners parents at about 10 weeks.

I didn’t tell others until I was about 4 months and could no longer hide it. The reason I waited so long was because I had a haematoma in my first trimester and kept bleeding and was very anxious. It luckily went away by my 12 week scan x

I told my inmediate family and best friend basically a week after I found out. For work and the rest of the world I waited until after the anatomy scan (week 20) because I had too much anxiety about it all and I wanted to avoid questions. At the same time I was doing therapy and after week 20 I also started to feel much better so it worked for me!

First baby

Hey guys 🥰 I’m due in less than 2 weeks and I am so nervous. This is my first baby and I’m constantly thinking about how the birth is going to go. Please if you’ve had a positive labor experience and was really nervous before can you share your story and advice 🥰

2nd Pregnancy

I've noticed so many differences with this one versus my 1st pregnancy. This one's way more picky for starters and lazy. Plus I've had to deal with the realization that this one I'll have to deal with much more complicated things.

Anyone eles worried about putting on weight?

Bit of a personal one but before pregnancy i had previously lost 6 stone and boom baby... I literally cant stop eating and worrying its all going to go back on. Was a long and stressful journey to loose it and I know I shouldn't being worrying amd i got more of a reason to be happy but I got to admit I am constantly thinking about it... anyone eles?
