GP rant

Does anyone else seem to have issues with GPs? Every time I go to the doctors I just feel fobbed off. I've been to different doctors, male and female, for different issues and just never seem to get anywhere. Its always chalked up to stress or essentially in my head without listening to what I'm saying. Thats the thing that stresses me out!! Today I was told that breastfeeding doesn't affect your estrogen or hormone levels... am I being stupid here?

Don't know what that doctor is talking about but breastfeeding most definitely affects your estrogen and hormone levels

I have had massive issues with my doctors surgery too. They never listen to me when I tell them something is wrong. They always find an excuse just to get rid of you

I constantly have issues with the gp, im 19 and have a 6 month old and everything just gets put down to me having a baby. Or they just tell me im fine because im too young to have something wrong with me or they say if I can look after my baby then im fine.

Hey so in the UK it is now required that if you go to the GP for the same thing 3 times, they have to refer you to a specialist. If they haven’t done this then you need to advocate for yourself and push for support.

Period yet?..

I had my baby 31st May and breast fed for about 4-6 weeks. I havent had a period yet... is this normal? I thought it was but the Dr seemed suprised. I was getting hot flashes also which I thought was due to the hormone fluctuations of stopping breast feeding but now I'm starting to wonder if I'm menopausing or am I being dramatic. I spoke to a friend who gave birth 2 weeks before me and she's had 2 periods already... my neighbour said she gave birth and went straight into menopause.

For context I'm 40 and had a C section. My period was irregular before I got pregnant

Hot flashes!

I’m 5 months PP and I’ve recently been having hot flashes, like I’ll wake up in the night and feel like I’m burning up (and it’s not the hot weather lol) and also getting headaches daily- someone said it could be hormones as I’m EBF but just want to know if anyone has had similar symptoms?

Perimenopausal / increased anxiety/ SEN mum

I’m feeling totally overwhelmed at the moment . The heatwave is not helping. Does anyone else around my age 39 feel more anxious when they’re around 1 or 2 days before their menstrual cycle ? . I also just think I’m exhausted as my son has autism and that comes with different challenges . I don’t want to take HRT but I can definitely feel the hormones fluctuating. Women’s life is not easy 😭😭

Advice please

My now husband proposed on June 23, 2023. We were married on Oct 1st same year. The morning he proposed we made love. We had been together for a year prior and only had about 6 times of intimacy. When we met and started dating he told me that sex was something he enjoyed and he had a slightly kinky side. I had never experienced that before but he assured me it wasn’t crazy. Well, those times we were intimate were anything but kinky. They were just normal intimate moments. So I thought he was waiting so he wouldn’t scare me off. Fast forward to today; we have not had any sexual contact since the proposal. None. Zero. Nothing. When he is home I have made advances. I have hinted. I have walked around nude. I have tried talking to him. Nothing has worked. The other day I found little blue pills in his nightstand. Yes, I counted and what was a package of 48 individual packs… it only has 32. I don’t know how to approach the situation. Where do I start?
