HELP

My almost 4 month old has always been somewhat a shit sleeper, needing contact naps during the day that have recently had a stop limit at 30 minutes, to waking 1-2 times in the night sleeping in her next to me, to now, over the past few weeks got progressively worse, still contact naps during the day but fights it so hard, has to be rocked with quite some momentum. To slowly each night becoming a co sleeping baby. Which I hate! And I’m also sure she’s not the biggest fan either. To now waking 4-6 times a night, I know it’s more than likely sleep regression but surely there must be a trick I’m missing here? Half the time she won’t even settle on me day or night, or anyone she just cries whilst you’re trying to rock her but would never fall asleep independently so we have to do this. To night time still tossing and turning and crying whilst on me. Patience is dripping away, and my bags are coming in thick and fast 😭😂

This sounds like the classic regression. We’ve found the baby carrier for naps/ to get to sleep really helped with the fussiness and fighting sleep x

This is the regression ours hit early too, he rarely naps for long in the day we do 4 small naps, bed and bath at 7pm but he wakes upto 5 times a night. I’ve tried increasing his feeds, making the room warmer, changing his cot and he still wakes up a lot. Even co sleeping he wakes up after an hour 😭 you just have to stick it out and go with their needs and try EVERYTHING first, white noise etc X

I'm right there with you in the trenches with this! The best we are doing is letting the wake windows extend (to like three hours!) in the daytime, so that she is really tired and doesnt fight the nap as much. We rock her, and she seems to go down within five minutes now. Sometimes she doesn't, and if she fights it for more than fifteen minutes we move on - do some more playing and try again later. Absolutely no advice for overnight, it's brutal and I am exhausted! Have tried extending the last wake window to see if that would work, has stopped her screaming before bed but hasn't changed the hour to two-hourly wake ups!

Transitioning carrycot to seat (pram)

Hello, I am a first time mum and was wondering when mums moved their babies out of the carrycot to the seat? My baby girl loves to look out and be nosey.

Feeling down and defeated

I’m feeling some what down and think I’ve got postnatal depression. My 5 month old is just refusing to do anything but cry on me, not sleep or eat (he does have a clean nappy), and my partner pretty much treats me like I’m his maid and not his partner. I don’t feel at all happy with my life and I just feel stuck. I know I’m not being the best mother I can be but this has become my daily life now. I don’t know what to do. I really don’t want judgment but I’ve never felt so alone. I feel like the worst parent going.

Arm jerking, stiffening and discomfort

My 10 month old is constantly flailing her arms. She also thrusts her arms out in a jerking movement and stiffens her body. She has started to shout with it like shes in discomfort. My GP and the hospital just say its excitement or frustration. We are concerned there are most neurological issues that are not being taken seriously. Its hard to capture it on video as as soon as I get my phone out she stops! I have a few videos that show it well though.

She has had an EEG which was normal. This has been going for months now though....

Any one else's little one do this??

How do structure the day? Anyone else hate being at home?!

3 month old reists any longer/deep sleep which means I baby wear for at least 4 hours of the day in stints. This has been out and about due to summer hols with my 6 yr old, so lots of constant movement. I prefer being out but it does end up being expensive.

I am dreading her return to school as my diary is much less full. Ive had a morning to myself today and a cot nap failed so LO is in the sling at home. He rouses every time I do anything and sitting on the sofa results in me having to jump up and jig him every 15 mins or he wakes up.

What are others with sleep resisters doing with their days? How are you staying sane?

Baby rolling in the night

Hey Everyone, is anyone else’s baby rolling during the night?

My LO just learned this week (she’s almost 4 months) and now it seems like she prefers to sleep on her side😫 I lay her down on her back and then multiple times during the night she’ll move herself onto her side.

Should I keep turning her onto her back or just monitor her? She’s just started sleeping through the night as well so I don’t want to disturb her too much 😭🙈😂

Seems like now she can roll she does it all the time and is trying her hardest to learn how to crawl now 😂😂😂
