How do structure the day? Anyone else hate being at home?!

3 month old reists any longer/deep sleep which means I baby wear for at least 4 hours of the day in stints. This has been out and about due to summer hols with my 6 yr old, so lots of constant movement. I prefer being out but it does end up being expensive.

I am dreading her return to school as my diary is much less full. Ive had a morning to myself today and a cot nap failed so LO is in the sling at home. He rouses every time I do anything and sitting on the sofa results in me having to jump up and jig him every 15 mins or he wakes up.

What are others with sleep resisters doing with their days? How are you staying sane?

I use the Napper app which has helped me to get into somewhat lf a routine. I found I was having wake windows which were too long and baby was getting over tired. I do have to have contact naps throughout the day mostly seems to have gotten worse lately as she is teething!

I don’t have any other children but on the days we are home we go between play time, nap, feed, change, repeat pretty much 😭

Most absorbent nappies for overnight

Can anyone recommend a really good absorbent nappy? My little one is 7m old and is a belly sleeper, I’m having to change his pyjamas and bedding every morning as he is totally saturated!

I initially used Asda little angels nappies but switched to pampers baby dry recently to see if they were any better, he is still leaking with those too. I have also tried adding a nappy liner into the front over night for extra protection but he is still wetting through.

Just for reference he is a big boy and in size 6/7 nappies he weighs over 30lb 🐷 I struggle to get nappies to fit around his belly, he has a bigger than average belly as well.

All of the ‘night time nappies’ in the shops are for older babies/ toddlers and are pull ups, but as I said my boy is big.. should I try these??

TIA from my laundry basket lmao xox

Edit: have weighed him and he is 26lb 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️

Breastfeeding

Weird question but I don’t know if anyone else has this happening to them, but I noticed when I get ready to breast-feed my son I’ll squeeze my nipples and there’s milk coming out of the Ariola that’s around it has anyone else had that happen?

Leaving baby

Has anyone been away from their baby for a few days yet? I’m still breastfeeding and have started solids but have a short trip booked at start of October and feel so anxious about it. This is my third baby and I know she’ll be fine with her Dad but we feed through the night still and I’m just not really sure how to manage that change. I also don’t want it to put an end to breastfeeding for once I’m back either. My plan is to pump while I’m away to keep supply up. Any advice appreciated 🩷

Bedtime with a 2 year old

Any and all tips welcome.
My child hates bedtime. We have a routine and every night it takes over an hour to put her to sleep.
I’ve stopped rocking her (she’s heavy and I can’t make it work for longer than 15 minutes) so now I’m singing the same song over and over again and rubbing her back. Admittedly, it’s frustrating and I dread it every night. We tried sleep training and she threw up all over herself and cried so hard. It broke my heart and since then we have been laying her in bed, singing softly, and rubbing her back. I would love any tips on how to help her sleep independently without crying it out!
Thank you 😊

Bath time and nap time

My little boy is getting to big for his nuby baby bath and too active. He kicks his legs and moves too much for me to feel like he is safe in it any longer. I have a bath seat for when he can sit independently. But I’m stuck on how to bath him until then…
Also he normally naps in a Moses basket in the front room which he also is getting too big for. I don’t really want to leave him alone in my room/ move the next to me every day and night.

Would love some suggestions from some fellow mums 🥰
