Do you have any weird or "picky" food behaviours from childhood that you still do to this day?

Mine is that I used to make my mother strain the green bits out of ichiban instant ramen soup. I hated the feel and texture and everything about them. I still do it to this day (though I don't mind the flavour, so I let them soak in the broth, I just don't like them in the soup). Ironically I don't mind the kind in lipton's chicken noodle.

We often think of childhood food habits as something to grow out of, but honestly, how many of them actually matter if you're an adult? If you cut the crusts off of sandwiches for a dinner party and slice them into triangles, they become "fancy," whereas cutting the crusts off of a kid's sandwich is considered juvenile. How many food behaviours do we judge young kids for that don't actually matter in the end?

Do you have any weird childhood food-related quirks that you still do today? If so, what are they?

Cutting an orange into slices and putting salt on them …………..

If I have ketchup or mayo I like to have it in a separate dish. I want to dip my food and put exactly how much I want on, I don’t want it touching my food on the same plate.

I cut all my food up into little pieces

I’m partial to a McDonald’s hash brown dipped into strawberry jam

I have a lot but the one my family has made the most fun of my for is not eating the ends of chicken fingers. The ends are gross.

Also I won’t drink the last sip of anything. And I don’t like using the same utensil for multiple foods. If I do, I wipe it off first.

My peanut butter and jelly has to have a massive amount of peanut butter and a whisper of jelly. That’s how I had it as a kid and feed it to my kids the same way. My mom decided recently that jelly is good and adds a ton and I’m like the fuck dude this is not how we (you) do this!
Also if I have a mandarin orange I have to pull all the little strings off of it

I just came to tell you guys that my husband eats tuna and egg tacos. He said he doesn't think it's even a Mexican thing. Just a his family thing. Smells terrible.

When I was pregnant with the twins I wouldn't stop eating tomato and cheese whiz sandwiches. My husband brings it up whenever he eats his tuna egg tacos.

I need an excuse HELP ASAP!!!

I work from home. My manager has just randomly said he needs to speak with me about work.

Only problem is I have already picked my kid up from nursery and she is currently with me. Partner is out.

Basically I cannot have a meeting right now,

I read his message and have just ignored it. Which he knows.

I need to follow up. What should I say!?!?!

Is it overstepping that my daughter’s stepmother called her school asking if they offered field hockey?

Yes my daughter has interest in it but I’m finding out today that stepmom called the school asking if they offer it after school.

Is this overstepping?

Husband helping?

Quick question, how long after getting home from work does your husband/partner take over care of the baby? I’m usually waiting 45 mins to an hour and I feel like that’s ages….

At a loss

What would a SAHM do with a 3 yr old and 2 yr old? I’ve been home with them for basically 4 years, only working off and on due to no child care. Relationship is on the rocks. I’m tired of fighting and crying in front of my girls. I want out. We are not married. Do I go live back with my mom in her 1 bedroom apartment while she already has my older sister and her 2 kids (21&20) living there. I just hate how I feel during our fights and arguments and just wonder if I would be less stressed if I just gave this all up. My 3 yr old is so attached to her dad I know she would ask for him everyday if we were apart. Been praying very hard, I just don’t know what to do

Buying things for baby due in November

I need advice
Soo this is my second baby and my partners first
However with my first born I did it all alone as they have different dads and brought everything by myself and went shopping by myself
But this time around I want to do it with my partner however I feel like it don’t want to and says why go shopping and do it together when we can order everything online
Kinda upsets me that he don’t really have a motivation to go out and experience it together and is just like look online and we can get it
Feel like crying sometimes because of it but grantee if one of his friends said let’s go out for the day and do something like shopping or something he will go but feel like he never wants to do stuff with me
He Always just laying in bed saying he got no motivation and that but soon as his pals message he get up and goes out
I’m worrying as still need to get loads of stuff for baby and don’t have long left

Do you know of a good vacuum cleaner?

I can’t find one with good reviews. What do you like to use to vacuum the house?
