12 weeks

Was anyone super nervous about their 12 week scan? I had a scan when I was 6 weeks and 6 days at the window of the womb and saw a heart beat. But I feel very normal now after maybe 2 weeks non stop vomiting where I was on anti sickness medication from the GP. This is my first pregnancy and I really don't know want to expect.

I heard seeing a heart beat is a good thing and lowers some risks that's something I'm holding on to! When is your scan?

my son doesn’t really have any baby friends. I’m hoping to make friends with some mums so they could come to his first birthday party with their babies in October… Cake toys games and music… I just want to make it a special day for him so he can have some buddies.. 💞

Second trimester energy boost

People talk about an energy boost and feeling more yourself in the 2nd trimester. I’m 14w3days today and still feel as tired, low and not myself as I did in the first trimester!! Did other people find this and when did you start feeling better?? xxx

Overdue mamas

I’m 40+5 today and a VBAC and feeling the pressure from midwives to have intervention- anyone else waiting it out? Or any recent positive overdue experiences?

Anyone due late April?

Are we technically only 3-4 weeks still? Not going by gestational age.

Desperate for pregnancy hip pain suggestions 😩

I'm in the last few weeks of pregnancy and have been struggling with really bad one-sided hip/glute pain at night for months. I'm at the point where I'm desperate to know if there's anything I've missed!

It's mainly when I'm lying down at night and it doesn't matter which side I sleep on. When it's bad, sitting doesn't help either. Getting up and walking around is about the only thing that eases it, although even that doesn't always fully relieve it. It's massively affecting my sleep.

So far I've tried:

- Pregnancy pillow/pillows between my legs
- Mattress topper
- Hot water bottle
- Ice packs
- Warm baths before bed
- Massage
- Spiky massage ball
- Various stretches/exercises
- Paracetamol
- Physio
- Osteopathy
- Acupuncture

Physio gave me a little relief for a couple of days after each session but never stopped the pain completely. My first osteopathy appointment made a really noticeable difference for about a week, but unfortunately the second appointment hasn't had the same effect and the pain is back to how it was originally.

I'm continuing with the osteopath, but I'm desperate for some sleep and wondering if there's anything else I haven't thought of. Has anyone experienced anything similar, particularly pain that's worse when lying/sitting but improves when you get up and move around? What helped you get through the nights? ❤️
