I’m 40+5 today and a VBAC and feeling the pressure from midwives to have intervention- anyone else waiting it out? Or any recent positive overdue experiences?

So sorry they are putting pressure onto you! Not surprised though it seems so common, but you can always say that you'd rather wait for baby to ready to born 💚 I know I am surprised to still be pregnant as first came early ( well I ended up trapped in timings after my water leaked...and had to end up in an emergency c section eventually... ) but I am decided to let baby chose as long as they belong healthy!
Strength to you, we are the ones who showed up be able to chose! ✨

I am currently 41 and 2 days and due to be induced with my second child this Sunday . I got induced with my first but I went way over I waited till 43 weeks x

I’m 41 today and feeling exactly the same way. Got induction booked for Tuesday (41+3) and already had 3 sweeps (all 1/2cm) but literally no signs of labour. Obviously I know how my induction went last time and now dreading it with a toddler in tow…

Go with what you feel is right and they will support you. I'm 40+3 had a failed sweep yesterday. I decided I'm willing to go to 41+5 and then will take intervention might have to be monitored for a few days but they are happy with that and supporting the decision. Baby is in good position and engaged but cervix hasnt thinned out enough.

I declined all intervention except a sweep (didnt work) but went into spontaneous labour at 40weeks+6 days with no signs until the moment my contractions started! I would've waited until 42 weeks before decided on induction or c section and I had no pressure at all from anyone to do anything! Sorry to hear you feel pressured

I’m 40+2 and also a VBAC, this will be my third VBAC though 🥰 I’m sorry they’re trying to push interventions! With my first VBAC they said they were happy to leave me until 41+5 before discussing induction etc! I’ve decided to book an induction for 41 weeks this time just due to timing and kids going back to school etc! With my first VBAC I was willing to wait as long as it took (even if that was over 42) as long as we were fine but ended up needing to be induced at 41+2 😫

Sorry you’re experiencing this. I think a lot of it comes down to when YOU want to accept anything and telling them exactly when. I said I wasn’t interested in induction until 42 weeks and the consultant was completely supportive and absolutely no push for anything before then.
My previous VBAC was at 41+6 so I know my body needs a long time 😅
You’re almost there 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽 ‘overdue’ days are loong but hang in there Mama xxx

I let them book me an induction for when i was 41 weeks, with a plan to push that back upto 42 weeks, I went into spontanous labour at 40+5 and got my vbac thankfully🎉 fingers crossed for you x

Held my nerve and waited it out - went to 41+5 and had a pool birth - so glad I held strong as I know how tough it is when you start getting pressurised into an induction
I’m 31 weeks and I think I’ve made my mind up about a vbac.
I think I’ll book in an elective for 41 weeks (as late as they’ll let me) and see if labour naturally happens before then.
I’m hoping this is the right decision but it’s difficult to differentiate fear over intuition.
Has anyone got any advice on having a vbac? How to physically prepare beforehand and in the hospital?
Just for context, there will be just under 16 months between my first and this baby

I’m 34 + 2 and I noticed when I was just in the shower that I’m starting to leak colostrum. Is it too soon to start collecting?

So I’ve got a c section booked for Thursday 27th but if you go in for reduced movements before hands … do they bring your c section forward? Has anyone been in this situation? I’m 38 weeks tomorrow ( Sunday ) xx

People talk about an energy boost and feeling more yourself in the 2nd trimester. I’m 14w3days today and still feel as tired, low and not myself as I did in the first trimester!! Did other people find this and when did you start feeling better?? xxx
