So I’m about to be 3 weeks postpartum. And last night my husband and I had sex… I know very well that we should have waited. I never had any intention of doing this. But I just turned 21 on the 8th, I have a big milk supply and decided to drink a little bit. I had a few shots and usually that doesn’t get me really drunk but I didn’t take into consideration my 9 month long tolerance break😭 anyway so my husband and I were just kissing and that was it but without my big belly in the way we just got carried away and it just felt like before I got pregnant and idk we took it too far. Anyways there was a lot of blood…I’m not currently bleeding but it still freaked me out. I’m just wondering if anyone else has done this or knows anyone who has. I know I made a stupid mistake, so I don’t need to hear that😭 just if I’m possibly dying.

I would definitely call your doctor and make an appointment. Because yes, that wound is still very much open.
I do hope you do call, and update us because I genuinely hope you’re okay..

Where are you located ? In the UK we have a telephone triage service that can advise of the next steps I.e A&E visit or a call back from a GP.
Don’t feel silly, we’re human with hormones all over the place! I hope you’re ok x

Call your doctor

You should really call your doctor

I would call your midwife and explain what happened and see what they suggest

I agree with the doctor suggestions, I had sex for the first time 3 weeks pp too and didn’t make me bleed any more or less but we were extremely slow doing it? Maybe that’s why?
Hello! My baby is 6 weeks old and she only gets sleep when she contact naps on either of our chest so my partner and I take turns sleeping at night. Everyone keeps telling me to be careful of her getting used to it but I don’t know how. There came a period when she slept in her cot but now as soon as I put her down, the Moro reflex kicks in a few times and she wakes up and we’re back to square one…any advice?

Are nappy bins actually worth it? Baby girl is due next month and I’m buying the last bits and bobs but I’ve heard mixed things about nappy bins! Would only be used in the bedroom to save me going up and down the stairs during the night but I’ve been told to save my money as I won’t actually use it that much?

Finally had my first night where I broke down crying with my baby boy. I did everything I could to soothe him and he wouldnt stop till 3am and in that moment I felt so alone trying to do this. Everything is fine now but ftm and already almost 2 months in and it all hit me at once.

It’s been a crazy couple of weeks! Baby randomly started refusing his milk — I can’t help but think it’s linked to teething and him absolutely hating Calpol. It got to the point where he was clamping his mouth shut and spitting it out, and anything he did manage to drink would come back up.
We went to the doctor on Wednesday and, apart from being a bit fussy, he’s perfectly healthy. He does have a little bit of reflux, which is new, but it’s just really difficult not to worry that he isn’t drinking enough.
He previously went off one of his formulas, so we’ve tried a different one. He is taking this one rather than immediately spitting it out, but he’s still not drinking as much as he used to.
I’m now super paranoid about whether he’s getting enough! It’s just such a random change in his attitude towards milk. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

My baby is just over 2 weeks old. He will not let us lay him down, not in his next to me or pram bassinet, meaning I can’t leave the house with the pram and can only having him in my arms. Any advice?

Anyone else having trouble with getting their 5 week old to sleep? Shes up for 3-4hrs at a time once or twice a day. Through this period she’s almost going off multiple times but wakes herself up, I assume as she’s overtired. I try to get her down when I see tiredness cues but it’s not working. When she does fall asleep, I can’t put her down as she wakes up and we start the crying, constantly feeding, drifting off cycle again. She doesn’t go to sleep in the pram and the car is 50/50, I’ve also tried a baby wrap but again no luck. Even feeding isn’t a guarantee that she will drift off if she’s been up for a long time. My husband is back in the office next week so I will have my 3yr & baby on my own twice a week. I don’t know how to cope with them both when I’m tied to the sofa feeding or keeping my baby asleep. Any help or guidance would be really appreciated. Thank you
