Brown Spotting

I had spotting from 5 weeks but was a pink colour. Brown would suggest old blood so potentially implantation bleeding. I would monitor for a couple of days and if you are still concerned contact your EPU again or GP.

I’m 5 weeks and started spotting yesterday. It was sortve brown discharge. I had the same (but worse) for my first pregnancy. It was a hematoma. I have a healthy two year old now. I’m worried the second time around though as I’ve no idea what’s causing this.

I think it can be caused by a variety of reasons though!

I had brown spotting from 5 weeks until just over 3 months. It was so scary but I hope I can give you hope that it can be normal. I am now 37+2 and baby is doing well x

I had spotting with my first like this, they said most likely implantation spotting after scanning me and everything fine. He’s now 2.
I had it again with this pregnancy earlier on but with some red blood too, they examined me and I have a cervical Ectropion (harmless). I’m now 18 weeks tomorrow.

There’s a few reasons for spotting but if you are very anxious tell them your mental health is being affected and they might see you, nothing worse than being petrified whilst pregnant x
