Anyone else struggling with their partners?

I’m booked in for an induction on Wednesday, my partner is superrr happy & excited whereas I’m more quiet because I’m nervous about what I’m going to have to go through. I explained to him that I’m actually not that scared about the pain (because either path we take is painful) I’m actually just more worried about spending 5+ days in the hospital being bored to death & being told there’s no progress. And he responded with “yeah but it’s fine, I can leave and get you stuff, I can get you clean clothes & food” (this wasn’t related to my worries at all) I replied back with “but I just wish I was the one who could go home & do some laundry, sleep in our own bed & see our dog”🥺he then responded with “no matter what I do for you, it’s not enough”. I feel like he’s just missed the entire point? I never said what he’s doing isn’t enough. I said I just wish I could be the one with the freedom & feel the excitement. Rather than having to stare at a hospital curtain for 120+ hours to be told you’re still not dilating🤣 I feel like he’s not being very understanding which is upsetting me more

Men dont get it, they think we get it easy because we dont have to do anything until labour starts.
If it helps my husband has been sulking last few days because hes had to help me more at home and he said "i didnt know there was so much to do and im just tired now, i need a break" 🙄

I think they don't realise how much your independence is affected by a baby? Because theirs isn't as much

Sick cat, feel like a bad person

Our cat, 14 years, is sick, he went to the vet 3 times last week and turns out he has pancreatitis. He doesn’t eat or drink.
The vet visits easily cost 1000 pounds. And we can’t really keep paying massive vet bills.

We have a 20 month old, and I’m 8 weeks pregnant. I just don’t have the mental capacity to deal with this. I want the the cat to live several more years, and our 20 month old loves him.
But with him just not eating and with vet bills I just feel like we should put him down.

We had 2 cats and put the previous down a month before our daughter was born, at that point he probably wouldn’t have lasted out the month anyway, and I felt we should have put him down earlier.

But our remaining cat isn’t as bad as our old one I just don’t want to deal with it, and I feel bad!

Am I horrible?

My sons dad and I can't agree on potty training rules.

My sons dad and his girlfriend wanna keep my son in underwear all the time instead of pull ups for potty training. Then when they took him to me to mcdonalds he had an accident in the play place playground. Then my sons dad and his girlfriend got mad at me for putting him in a pull up instead of underware. Then I i had to change his outfit for a 2nd time cause i had to wash his hair in the mcdonalds bathroom sink cause his hair got sticky. His dad said "he does not usually have accidents. He is potty trained" i told him "no he is still in the process of being potty trained. He just had an accident. He is not potty trained." The girlfriend also kept trying to override me and said "he has underwear" when i handed my sons dad a pull up for our son later. I think she wanted to embarass me on purpose. The dad also acted weird when they left. I offered him the rest of the pack of pull ups and he said no then his girlfriend gave me a mean look and then he changed his mind and said yes and took them. This is so weird to me.

Where are peoples manners ?

I just want to share an uncomfortable situation we experienced today. I was deeply concerned by the behavior of both a child and her parent toward my son in a public playground in Burbank today.

Today, at the water splash area at Fremont Park in Burbank, my 4-year-old son was playing with his friends. Someone had brought tennis balls into the splash area, and the children began throwing them outside the designated area. I did not object, as this seemed safer than allowing the balls to remain in the splash area, where they could potentially strike another child.

An older girl repeatedly yelled at my son to stop. While I understand that she may have been concerned about the balls being thrown outside the splash area, repeatedly yelling at a young child was inappropriate. After continuing to yell at him, she threw a toy at his back. I immediately approached her and calmly told her that she was not permitted to yell at or throw objects at my child.

I then spoke with her mother to explain what had occurred. Unfortunately, rather than addressing her daughter’s behavior or acknowledging that a toy had been thrown at my son, the mother became confrontational and began yelling at me. She stated that I had no right to speak to a minor and that I should have located the child’s mother first. She did have a heavy russian accent, not sure if this is normal behavior where she’s from but I will not allow anyone to mistreat or bully my children, especially a child much older and bigger than him. How do you locate someone’s mother when she’s busy on her phone ? She also mocked the way I was speaking to her.

I understand that parents may prefer to address their children’s behavior themselves. However, when a child is repeatedly yelling at my 4-year-old and physically throwing a toy at him, I believe it is reasonable to intervene immediately and tell the child to stop. I would have preferred to speak with the mother afterward and resolve the situation calmly, but unfortunately, the interaction became unnecessarily hostile.

Parents should remain attentive to and monitor their children’s behavior so that situations like this can be prevented in the future. Mutual respect, appropriate supervision, and courteous communication are essential in public.
