Apologies for TMI - I had an early scan at 5w6d due to some pain (has now gone). But the day after around 24hrs later I started bleeding. I'm not filling pads and it's only when I wipe that the tissue is covered in red blood.
Last night (day2) it eased off and was not pinkish then this morning there was nothing in my pad overnight but now when I go to the loo there's bright red when I wipe.
I've called EPU but due to the scan last week the earliest I can be seen is 2nd Sept unless it gets worse then I need to go a&e but even they they'll only check the cervix and not scan.
I'm not really getting any pains. I have aches now and again but that's normal for me due to long term back pain.
Anyone else going through or had this and baby is all ok? Just a scary couple of weeks ahead not knowing

I bled through most of my first trimester. My mum bled through all her pregnancies. I think it’s more common than we think. My baby is now a very happy 12 week old but defo push for a scan or pay for one if that’s an option for you. I had plenty of private scans and a few at EPU for my peace of mind. Best of luck to you x

Any bleeding you're supposed to report so you've done the right thing. It's scary bleeding in pregnancy no matter when it happens.
I won't say don't worry about it, because you will every second until you know for sure that everything is ok, just try and stay calm and rest. The only advice I can really offer is to advocate for yourself and make your voice heard.
Hope everything works out for you 🤞🏼

I too bled through my pregnancy, mine was different at different stages. It was how you described it then I would fill lots of pads. I had clots also. I also had an episode of it just running down my legs when I stood up.
I now have a very happy and healthy 7 month old LG.
EPU was amazing, I had plenty of scans on the unit for reassurance.
It is definitely more common than people realise although the worry never goes away but just know you are not alone. X
I'm 4 weeks postpartum... Wtf is this???

Im due in October, my 9 year old wants to be in the delivery room. I think it would be so special and of course I'd love her there. Im just curious on how to navigate, how to prep her, or if its even a good idea at all. My daughter's daddy passed in 2021, and the father of this baby unfortunately will not be making it to the birth, so it'll be my mom and best friend. And we shall see about my girl. Any advice, tips or words of encouragement are greatly appreciated 🤍

Has any one else experienced really bad pressure/ hemorroids, I’m 37 weeks today and had such loose bowel movements but today it’s got 10x worse I was screaming with pain. I had to run to the bathroom and it felt like the babies head was ready to come out with the pressure I was having (literally felt like ring of fire) how do I know if it’s just hemorroids or early labour pressure as I’ve been told by my midwife his head is engaged 😩😩 sooo painful.

I’m 38+2 and have been experiencing some cramping and quite intense contractions. The first time it happened was at 37+5, and I honestly thought I was going into labour, so I called triage. I was advised to take some paracetamol and monitor how things went on.
It happened again recently, but this time I didn’t call. The cramps and contractions were really intense and lasted for about two hours.
Just wondering if anyone else has/had experienced anything similar?

Hi, I’m currently 36 weeks pregnant with my second baby and still unsure how I want to deliver, I had a traumatic birth with my 1st in 2024 and have been having EMDR therapy to help process the trauma, for a while I was contemplating a c section but I can’t help but feel selfish by making this decision. My 1st is 2 and 3 months and I feel like even though she won’t remember I will feel awful that I can’t carry her etc
Please share any experiences you had.
I was hoping to go vaginally again and it be a really restorative and healing birth experience but in the back of my mind I still have a lot of trauma stored from the 1st birth.
